It's been a rough week and today it shows as I come into the house after going to the doctors I hear nothing. I wonder into the living room where I see Harry laying on the sofa, on top of his chest is Reese and on his belly, is Jaxton's head. They are all passed out and the site makes me melt, a father and his boys. There is something special about the bond the three of them will have and I'm glad they have it. Jaxton has been doing well and adjusting to the way things are around here. We've also widened his food choices since it was rare that we ate things like chicken nuggets every day. I see Harry stir but when he opens his eyes I lean down to kiss him. I tell him to keep quiet and not wake the boys. He stays there for a while and I'm happy to see them.

While I make dinner, there is a knock on the door I wasn't expecting anyone but I open it anyway. As soon as I see his parents and my grandparents I'm shocked. His mother looks pissed and I'm not sure why, then I remember we didn't tell her we adopted Jaxton. I tell them they are sleeping on the sofa not to make a racket or they will wake the baby. She looks at me with daggers but she stops in the living room doorway. She's just as speechless as I am to see this. I prepare dinner while everyone sits in the kitchen watching me. I hear small feet coming my way followed by hearing Jaxton's voice.

"Mommy, I don't feel good." He says and I pick him up.

"Tell mommy what hurts."

"My belly." He says putting his head on my chest.

I hold him for a while until I hear Reese cry and I know Harry will be up in a second. The crying has stopped and Harry emerges with him. He looks at me and I know the look his mother is giving him a nasty glare. Harry takes Reese to be changed and fed while I take Jaxton to the bathroom to see if he's got a fever. He has a slight fever and I know he's not going to eat the dinner I made so I make him some soup. As soon as Harry comes down he looks at me and I can't say anything, but I know his mother is going to have plenty to say.

"Harold Edward! When did you plan to tell your father and I about this other boy?"

"Honestly I hadn't planned on it. He also has a name, it's Jaxton but we call him Jax."

"What do you mean you didn't plan on it?"

"For starters, I didn't know he existed until four months ago, and you are always belittling my wife and I on how fast we have children. I'm not sure I care how fast we have children and at this point were ok where we are."

"How did you not know he exists?" She barked at him

"A few nights with his mother over a six-month period nearly five years ago, now."

"What possessed you to adopt him?" Harry and I look at her and he tells Jax to go in the living room to watch TV. He does and Harry seems like he's about to let loose on her.

"What possessed you to adopt me?" he questions right back.

"Your mother wasn't capable of taking care of you."

"His mother isn't either."

"How so, is she a drug addict?"

"No, Cancer took her life a little while ago and I am all he had left."

"I am proud of you for taking him in." My grandfather says trying to calm his mother.

"Thank you, I may have messed up with Elenor a few times but I wanted to prove that I will try and do what's right. This is what's right and he's perfect."

"I know you will never stop proving how sorry you are to her but this shows both of your strength. Your love for people no matter their age." My grandmother chimes in.
