There is nothing in this world that is harder to explain then how we randomly acquired a small child. I wouldn't change the way things are but there are days that I wonder what others who don't understand the situation. They are the ones who are the most judgmental and you become the talk of their circles. I can't tell you the amount of times I've explained this to a few people but no one seems to understand it like Harry and I do. They see a poor child who got thrown at us and now we must take care of him. Yes, we must take care of him, but we chose to take care of him. My grandparents went home a few nights ago, and Harry and I are getting back into the swing of them not being here. They were a big help while they were here but Harry and I had a lot of time to ourselves.

Tonight, Dom is stopping by for dinner and there are few people who know about Jax. Dom lives out of state and we rarely see him but he's here to see Callie and their daughter. I hadn't talked to Callie since we had our blow up and I'm not sure that I want to talk to her. She has no idea about Jax either but for some reason I don't want to tell her either. I decide I need some retail therapy just in case for some reason Dom decides to bring her here. I don't think he would but I can't be sure since it's been a while since he's seen either of them.

"Why don't you go out and do some shopping. I'll get dinner ready and by the time you get back Dom should be here and dinner should be done." That's when I hear Jax run into the living room.

"Mommy can I come with you?"

"I don't mind."

"That would actually be a great idea. Take him with you then when you get home we can ease into this."

"You all right with leaving Reese here?"

"Of course, we'll be fine."

"Get your coat sweetie."

He runs to the coat rack and puts his coat on. He meets me by the door where he waits patiently. As soon as he's strapped into the car we head off to the mall. We start with shoes where I find a few pairs and I'm in the mood to spend so everyone gets new shoes. After we leave the shoe store I see this shirt for Reese and we go in. I know that the clothing store is not a good place for me to be with an untapped credit card. We go in and I find things for everyone including myself. Once I've spent more than I wanted to on clothing Jax and I headed to the food court.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Pizza?"

We walk to the pizza shop and order a few slices before we take a seat. That's when I see her, Callie and she's coming my way. I'm not sure I want to have this confrontation with her right here in the mall. I make no movements and that's when she sees me.

"Elenor?"

"Callie." I say to her.

"How have you been?"

"Good."

"Who's this little guy?"

"This is Jax, our son."

She looks at me confused and I don't want to have this conversation with her. She looks at me and that's when she sees the look I'm giving her.

"Right, I forgot we're not friends."

"You did that yourself."

"You deserved it." She says and instantly my mind races. I don't want to do this in front of Jax so I stop talking to her. She looks at me and that's when she walks away without another word. Jax asks who that was and I tell him that she was an old friend. He takes that for an answer and we finish the pizza.
