chapter 25: new boo

martinus pov//
i woke up to the smell of luna's perfume. mmmm roses. sweet and beautiful just like her. i got changed and saw marcus and luna downstairs eating breakfast. they were smiling. i was happy to see luna in a good mood. it made me smile.

marcus-"good morning brother."

martinus-"good morning! wait so no school?"

marcus-"oh yea luna are you coming today?"

it was early so she could.

luna-"oh um about that. i'm not going back to school. i talked to my mom and your parents and they said that maybe it wouldn't be a good idea for me to go back for a little while. i agree. i'm going to be homeschooling for a little bit. today will be my last day."

martinus-"aw luna i will miss you. but if this will be better for you then im happy."

i walked over and hugged her. i was happy that she will finally be happy. she was smiling. she shoved a pancake on my plate and smiled. we all got ready for school and walked there. when everyone saw us all together nobody dared to utter word. i came in with a smile on my face and i wasn't gonna let anyone bring me down. we walked into art. i realized my photo was gone. no worries i would draw another one. and i could work on it even more. i started outlining and doing the background. i saw marcus smiling at me and he kissed her on the cheek.

marcus-"i love you luna bear."

luna-"thank you love bug."

marcus-"new nickname? cute!"

luna's pov//

i looked over at martinus and he was staring at some girl. i recognized her. i think her name was amber. she was nice and quiet. like me. he was blushing when she was looking back at him.

marcus-"looks like someone has a crush!"

martinus-"shhh! she will hear you. so maybe i do but i'm too scared to talk to her. i don't know what i would say to her. she is coming over here. be cool be cool."

he sat awkwardly and pretended to be drawing. she came over and tapped his shoulder.

amber-"hi. i saw your drawing. it's really cool."

martinus-"aw thank you. i'm martinus."

amber-"amber. nice to meet you."

martinus-"maybe we could hang out sometime?"

amber-"well how about tonight? 7?"

martinus-"i would love too."

i was glancing over at marcus and we were smirking at each other. he was blushing like crazy right now. after she left he had the widest smile spread across his face like butter spread on toast. it made me happy to see him happy and crushing on someone.

marcus-"soooo looks like someone has a date tonight!"

luna-"this is so exciting! martinus i'm so happy for you."

martinus was blushing.

martinus-"okay okay maybe i do but still! guys don't embarrass me tonight. marcus i'm talking to you."

luna-"i won't!"

marcus-"i swear. i won't break out the baby videos. that's second date material!"

luna-"OMG I WANNA SEE BABY MARCUS AND MARTINUS!"

marcus-"OKAY WHEN WE GET HOME ITS HOME MOVIE SCREENING!"

martinus-"NO!"

luna-"aww pretty pretty please."

i gave him a puppy dog eye face and pouty face.

martinus-"aww i can't say no to those eyes. fine home movies."

luna + marcus-"yay!!"

martinus-"no embarrassing pictures of videos!"

marcus-"no promises. we will see!"

i was so happy martinus found a new crush. honestly it's a relief because i was scared he was gonna take luna from me. now i don't have to worry. he was in a good mood the rest of the day and so was luna. my two favorite people happy. nothing could be better. me, luna, and marcus all sat down.

martinus-"so i gotta question. and don't freak out please. don't ruin my mood."

luna-"shoot."

marcus-"okay what."

martinus-"is lunarcus a thing or what."

i looked over at luna and she gave me an awkward glance. this is gonna be interesting.

luna-"oh well um."

marcus-"i don't know...luna what are we?"

luna-"what do you want us to be?"

martinus-"well luna do you trust marcus."

she looked down and was playing with her hoodie. she looked nervous.

marcus-"luna you don't have to answer that."

luna-"i will be right back."

she got up quickly and to get some water. i gave martinus a stare.

martinus-"sorry bro."

marcus-"please don't do that again okay. i don't want her to not trust me. we are working on it. i don't want to make her upset. i mean she hasn't classified us yet and i don't know what we are. she is coming back. pretend we were talking about amber."

martinus-"okay."

she came back and sat down. she looked fine. except i could feel something was wrong but i don't know what. it wasn't with us thought. so who was it with. she was rather quiet the rest of the day. what could if be about? we got to home and i took her hand and went upstairs.

marcus-"luna's what's wrong? did i do something?"

luna-"no of course not. it wasn't you it was..."
