Chapter 11

Maddy's POV

It was half six in the mornig and i had to supervise a school trip, how nice! I was annoyed with myself from last night, why couldn't i say it, i knew what to say it just didnt work! How hard is it to say i love you, ugh, i got out of the shower and got dressed in jeans and an a t shirt and put a hoodie on. I went downstairs and it was quarter to, i got some coffee and left to my car, i heard barking and looked over at Gem's she was locking her door " Bruno be quiet, its to early in the morning and im tired!" she said, she opened her door and threw a ball and Bruno chased it, she shut her door and locked it " Someone tired!" i shouted over, she turned to see me and smiled " i officially hate all means of school!" i laughed "well when you stay up till one in the morning studying it doesnt help!" she laughed, she looked at the road and crossed it running over to me, i smiled when she ran up to me " i need to tell you something!" she said, i raised an eyebrow, i nodded for her to continue "okay so last night when you called and confessed how you felt i was so happy if hadnt been one in the morning i would have had a party!" i laughed and she smiled  "it also gave me a bit more confindence in the fact i know you care well obviously you do but in a special way and what i want to say is.. i love you!"i smiled and she did to, i leaned in and kissed her, i pulled away " thats what i was trying to tell you last night but didnt have confidence!" she smiled and hugged me, i held on to her tight, she was in some sort of track suit, she was wearing a white poloshirt and a red waterproof jacket with navy blue shorts and white trainers. I could smell cinamon of her and a hint of vanila "you smell like cinamon!" i said while still hugging her,she laughed she pulled away " i thought i smelt more dog!" i laughed, her watch beeped" hmmm i need to go!" i looked at the time, i needed to go to " me too!" i said, i looked at her and smiled, she leaned in and kissed me pationaley, we pulled away "i love you! i said and she smiled " i love you to!" she kissed my forehead and walked to her car, she put her bag in the boot and drove away. We may had been only going out for a short time but i was happy and i really did love her and i was happy she felt the same way!

I was on the bus with the rest of the seniors, i was sitting with Mrs Lambert, head of english behind us were Mr Holton head of PE and Mr Jenson a supply teacher. The school trip was to a harbour, excellent. The kids would be in rowing boats learning the basics, we had about thirty kids with us, we turned into the place and there was a big hut and a small one, the small on had a door opened and it looked to have boats in it, there was a ramp down to the water where a boat was and afew people around it. We got of the bus to be greated by a man " hello and welcome to the California rowing Club!" he shook our hands and directed us to the big hut, he got the kids kitted out and came over to us " will you be going on the boats?" he asked, i looked at the other teachers " eh no we will wait on the bus!" Mr Holton said. The man nodded and we went back to the bus, the other teachers fell asleep and i felt myself shutting my eyes aswell.

Gemma's POV

I was at my rowing like every Saturday morning and we were down at the boat. " okay so we have a school trip today and im glad the A' team are here and dissapointed that only two out four of the B' team are here!" our coach said sternly, we heard the bus arrive but i didnt look, i knew that they were our age but that was about it. We walked up the plank but i was stopped by my team an coach " gemma can we ask you somethig?" our coach said, i looked between him and my team "yeh what?" i asked "we want you to be our new captain?" John said, i laughed and then i saw they were serious "wait your serious?" i asked they nodded, i was then pushed in the water, i got my breathe back " now we wont get you out unless you accept!" coach said" ugh fine but this is blackmail!" they all laughed, i was helped out and we walked up to see the students, Graeham turned around to see us " ahh there they are the California State rowing team!" he said proudly, i looked at the students and they were all from Preston, i looked at them all and saw Mark " Mark?" i asked and he turned to me " Gemma?"  we laughed, i went up to him " you row?" he asked and i nodded " yeh im in the state team!" he rolled his eyes " of course, i remember you saying that!" i laughed "wheres the teachers?" i asked them all and they looked around" oh there on the bus!" Graeham said, i turned to Mark " whos the teachers?" i asked and he thought about it " well, Mr Holton, Mr Jenson, Mrs Lambert and Miss T'!" i smiled so this was the trip Mads was on, i turned to Graeham, everyone was listening to what we were saying " are they going on the boats?" i asked, he shook his head " no there on the bus!" he said, i smiled " not for long!" he raised an eybrow" what you mean?" he asked, i walked over to the big hut and grabbed a fog horn, i had a feeling they would all be sleeping. I walked by Greaham and the Kids and they all laughed" John would you care to join me in pissing of teachers!" he smiled and followed me, i walked on to the bus, all wet so you can imagine the bus drivers reaction. I looked at them all and they were all sleeping, i looked at Mads and she looked peaceful, i laughed " ugh this is gonna be fun!" i honked the horn and they all woke up, me and John laughed " Gemma?" Mads asked, i nodded "Gemma what are you doing here your not on this trip!" Mrs Lambert said " wow for a bunch of teachers your not very observant!" i said, i turned around so they could see the back of my jacket it said California State team and 27 on it, i turned back around" now whats this i hear that none of you are going on the boats?" i asked and Mr Holton answered " but were teachers not students!" he said, i nodded " yes and im the captain of the A' team whats that got to do with anything?" i asked and he thought about it " now i will expect you all suited and booted ready to row in ten minutes i will leave you with John here to get you sorted while i change!" i turned to John " get them ready for me please, im coxing!" he smiled , i walked out the bus to the students and Graeham who were all looking at the bus confused " they'll be out in a minute, Johns getting them sorted!" they laughed, i walked into the hut and the girls changing rooms and got changed, i only had my competition stuff so i put it on, it was a navy blue polo shirt and navy blue cylce shorts and black trainers, i put my hair up and glasses on.
