Ch. 22 I Love You For Who You Are

Hannah took a deep breath trying to catch herself she was nervous as it is and didn't know how to Grace what she really wanted in life.

"What's up babe? Are you nervous about your keynote speech?" Grace took Hannah's hand trying to figure out exactly what's going on with the love of her life

"Yeah I am but that's not what's on my mind at this moment. It's just... um" Hannah looked into Grace's eyes. "I know you don't like kids but have you ever though about us having one, maybe together? I know if you don't want to then that's okay but I kind of do and I want one with you. Not a ton of kids but maybe one or two, we could adopt or maybe I could carry I don't know if I would want to but I know you wouldn't want to but it's okay. If not it's fine we can just have dogs and live our lives together."

Hannah finally took a breath as she said everything in one breath. She turned away not being able to look at Grace in the eyes.

"Hannah breath, It's fine and truth be told  I have thought about maybe the idea of having a kid with you. I wouldn't want one with anyone else but you I think it could be great."

Hannah pulled Grace into a hug then kissed her as if it would be the last kiss she would every receive. They both smiled, as they looked into each others eyes. Going in for a gentle kiss as Hannah let's go. She starred at the love of her life for another moment then took a breath. She realized that if she was going to do this that this would be the moment. She couldn't wait, she just hoped that Grace wouldn't freak out about what she was going to do next.

"I'm going to go change do you want to come up to the room with me?" Hannah asked Grace as she got out her phone and sent Mamrie a quick text, that read 'Hey can you get a bottle of champagne strawberries and two glasses and put them in the room? And do it quickly'. Hannah sent the text and grabbed Grace's hand as they walked back into the hotel.

Grace took a deep breath. She never thought she would be in this position. She loved Hannah more then anything in this world and if she has learned anything in this world is that life is to short and you never know what could happen. She loves Hannah and started to enjoy the idea of starting a family with her. She couldn't or wouldn't want to do it with anyone else but her.  As they stood in the elevator Grace wondering what was on Hannah's mind. She was fidgeting around, she wondered if her girlfriend was debating about starting a family with her.

Hannah's palm started to sweat more and more with each level on the elevator door binged. The doors flew open on the fifteenth floor and the couple walked out. Hannah let go of Grace's hand when they walked up right outside the door to their room. Hannah let Grace open the door as she hung back for a second. Grace walked in and saw a glass a white wine on the table with an assortment of fruit around their room.

She turned around to see Hannah behind her, "What is this? who did this? This wasn't here when we left a hour ago."

"Grace I love you so much and I wish I had the exact words to tell you exactly how I felt, but sometimes my mind can't put my thoughts into words so I'm going to put them into actions instead" Hannah pulled a small velvet box out of her pocket and bent down on one knee. Grace gasped not knowing what to do. She stood their shocked not knowing what to say.

"Hannah? What are you asking me?"

"Grace will you marry me?" Hannah opened the box to a princess cut ring in silver with two bands that were wrapped around underneath it.

"Hannah I never thought I would get married but with everything that has happened this last year it's changed me. It's changed us." Hannah still on one knee was waiting for the one word that could change their lives forever. "Hannah I'm not going to lie this is a lot to take in, especially since we just decided to have a kid but I think this could be great." Hannah's face lit up as she stood up smiling at Grace. "Yes Hannah, I would love to marry you"
