The girl missed talking with Colin Creevey. He didn't talk to her after he saw and tended to her wounds. The muggle items that he put in her skin had long lost their stickiness, she thought of keeping them as souvenirs for it was her first time seeing such items. But they just fell from her on their own accord.
What a pity.
But what's more of a pity was how she still ate breakfast outside the castle just to see if Colin will come out and eat with her again. It has been a week. The girl had made acquaintances in her house, for Hufflepuffs are very generous with affection. A day doesn't pass when someone doesn't ask her if she has eaten. Hannah Abbott has been akin to a friend, she would braid the girl's hair whenever they would chance each other in the common room. The girl only hoped that this will not be an issue for Hannah's Slytherin girlfriend, whom Hannah absolutely loves and talks about often.
Maybe Colin is just disgusted with her. Finally realized what she is. Finally realized what's good for him.
But the girl wanted to be selfish, she wanted answers even though she wasn't as giving with them.
But maybe there could be other reasons, right? Colin will be honest- he has already told her all about his family- he won't lie about something as trivial as not wanting to talk to her anymore. It's out of character. Right? The girl was not sure.
She walked over to the Gryffindor table, straight to the bushy haired girl that she saw walking alongside Colin when Hagrid brought her back to McGonagall's office. If she remembers it right her name is Hermione. "Excuse me. Can I talk with you for a moment?"
Hermione looked at her and recognition flashed in her amber eyes, "Oh, Violetta. Of course. What can I do for you?"
The girl quickly became aware of how three other pairs of eyes are watching her while she tried to talk to Hermione. The people that sat with Hermione at the table was a strange bunch, first; a boy with jet black hair and spectacles and a lightning bolt scar hidden by a fringe- probably the Harry Potter of rumors but he looked so ordinary- it can't be, second; a pretty girl with shockingly red straight hair sitting with the boy with spectacles and third; a lanky boy with freckles all over his face and body and the same shade of shocking red hair as the pretty girl.
"I'm just wondering where Colin is," she concentrated on enunciating the words even as she was being watched and obviously judged. Just so Hermione wouldn't make her repeat it again.
Hermione just pursed her lips and looked at her food.
It was the pretty girl with the red hair that answered for her, "Colin's in the astronomy tower. He usually skips breakfast nowadays. Something about the sunrise."
"Oh, thank you," the girl was really grateful. Maybe she'd bring up food for him there. Get some answers. Then maybe... He'd be able to lend her courage to finally go to Professor McGonagall about her condition. Someone will understand. They had to.
"Why do you know where he is?" The boy with spectacles asked.
"Well, everyone has started to pay attention to Colin Creevey now that he looks like a tall glass of water."
"Bloody hell," the boy with red hair said. "Even in front of your boyfriend."
"Don't worry. Harry here is a whole barrel of butterbeer in the middle of winter," the red haired girl smiled before kissing Harry on the lips. So, he really is Harry Potter.
The girl realized that she was now the one watching. She moved away from the Gryffindor table and back to Hufflepuff where she did her best to get enough food while dodging questions from her fellow Hufflepuffs. "Oh, I won't be late for class," she reassured Hannah.
