The girl woke up in the infirmary. Her skin was hotter than it was yesterday and her nose was stuffy. It was infinitely worse and to top it all off, she can barely move. Even moving her eyes around caused headache.

The air smelled of mint and, strangely, chamomile. It was so distinct that it was bizarre. The girl turned her head to see a steaming pot of tea on her bedside table. A heating charm seemed to be casted upon it. There were also some lemon slices on a small bowl beside the two teacups and beneath it was a note.

We are all worried sick. No pun intended. Get well soon.

Hannah

P.S. Share this with Colin. He's crazy over flower tea.

The girl smiled at the note and smelled the steam arising from the pot. It smelled of spring. Surely, if she didn't come to Hogwarts she would never be able to experience being cared for like this. True, she was hailed as royalty back home because of her mother's family name and feared by many back in Durmstrang for her half monster lineage- the girl was yet to experience being cared for so unconditionally.

It's almost a good thing that Luciel broke her heart and left her for dead.

She smiled bitterly at the thought.

"Alright... Alright..."

The girl focused on the bed next to her. Colin was still sleeping but he was stirring, he looked like he was having a struggle in his dreams. His brows are furrowed and his eyes are shut tightly, his knuckles are turning white from gripping the blankets too firmly.

"Vi... Vi..."

The girl looked around for Madam Pomfrey but there was no one else as far as she could see. So, she did her best to walk over to his bed.

"You're alright, you see. I won't..."

Colin was the only person she knows that talks as much even when asleep. Some people talk a lot when they are awake and only go quiet when asleep and others only talk when they are asleep. For Colin, it seems- it's both. He never stops.

"Colin. Colin," the girl brushed away the strands of light brown hair on his forehead. He was damp with sweat. She found a towel on his bedside table and wiped his sweat with it.

He smells like the water but with hints of cream... and perhaps butter... and something close to mint... And his lips looked pale and blue.

She remembered the taste of his mouth as she gave him air. It was not a kiss. It was not out of passion, it was out of need. He needs the air and she needed him to live. She can't have another name on her list. But she can't rid his taste from her mouth. It's always there when she swallows and when she takes a breath. The feeling of his lips on her, made her lips tingle. It was a familiar feeling yet different, completely. So much so that on the last contact that they had she tried take from him because she wanted more.

The sunshine streamed from the windows and hit his skin. The girl was fascinated, a hundred different things were dancing on that ray of sunshine and he was oblivious for he kept calling her name.

"Colin, wake up. Colin, it's me Vi," the girl didn't know when she has consented to him calling her with a nickname. No one has given her a nickname before. He was the first one.

"Oh, goodness. What are you doing up?" Madam Pomfrey came from behind her. She was wringing her hands on her white apron. A basket of more blankets was floating after her, the girl looked at it curiously. "You go back to bed now. He needs to sweat this fever off and I don't want you overexerting yourself. Seriously, what do you think is wrong with him? Going skinny dipping in the middle of the night? You children are getting out of hand! If you haven't been sleepwalking and found him- Merlin only knows what would have happened."

The girl went back to bed, afraid that she'll get Colin in more trouble. He was the one who came up with the story afterall. Filch saw them from the castle and the moment that Colin realized, he removed all his clothes and made her wear them, he snatched her wand and transfigured his clothes on her to make a pajama. It looks too much like a muggle's pajamas though because it has that Hello Kitty character in it. The storm only worsened and Colin started running around naked while Filch ran after him with Mrs. Norris in his wake. Colin was finally captured when he slipped on the slippery ground and both of them were sent to the infirmary.

But still the fire on her skin only subsided, it will get worse tonight again.

And the girl should be out of the infirmary by then, if she starts getting her hunger pangs and someone as pure as Colin is laying helplessly, literally, next to her. She just could not help herself.

"Madam Pomfrey, I really don't think I should have to stay here tonight," the girl said nervously. "I'd be more rested if I sleep in my own bed. I also miss my roommates." This was somehow true, she missed the mindless chatter and the invitation to made up games she has never played before.

"Nonsense, girl," Madam Pomfrey replied from behind the divider that she placed in between the girl and Colin for the purpose of replacing his clothes and blankets with new ones. "You stay here where I can keep an eye on you both. I can't have him walking around tomorrow good as new and you being brought back here. Just shut your eyes and count to a hundred."

"Good idea," the girl said quietly even as her eyes scanned the divider, hoping to see what was happening behind it.

Just curious.

It had been too dark last night to see much but his outlines are promising. She bit her forefinger as she craned her neck to see behind the divider. Colin would be half naked in there and she was just curious what he would look like without all those ill fitting robes. He was a boy and she was a girl and it has been a while... Anyway, he looked like someone who grew tall a bit too fast that he never had the chance to buy longer robes or to have his robes readjusted, they looked fairly new to her like no one is actually expecting him to grow taller.

But he has broad shoulders and a strong chest and maybe...

The divider gave way and the girl saw Madam Pomfrey looking at her suspiciously. "Do you reckon the divider stays?" She nearly fell to the floor.

"Doesn't really matter to me," the girl replied as she laid back in bed and turned her back to them to hide her tomato red face. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

"Have a good night sleep then without distractions," Madam Pomfrey said and took the divider away from between them anyway. The lights went out on the head of the other preoccupied beds as the lights on hers and Colin's dimmed. "Sweet dreams."

The girl pulled her blanket up and sighed. Her skin is already feeling hot, simmering and yet to reach the scorching point.

The night is just beginning after all.

Leggo.

Afraid we'll have to leave it at that because I have to go tend to adult matters now such as dragging my pasty ass to the bank. Sigh.

Shoutout to @Truant_evangie and @Kishi1999 for sticking around. :) Y'all are making this happen.

Song up top is 'Bad Things' by Camila Cabello ft. MGK cause the moment I heard it I know, I just know that it's gonna end up here. Hahahaha!
