Chapter 25

The Trial. The Trial. The day where the best witch, princess, prince and whatever a male bad guy is called wizard, sorcerer whatever would crowned. Kind of. Not exactly a crown. But it would mean you were the best out of both schools. And if I won Price Tristan would finally take me seriously. Prince Tristan was the son of Queen Agatha and King Tedros, named after guy that died in the Ever-Never war or Girl-Boy war I could never remember which. Anyway he was a stuck-up brat and basically the most admired human in Good. All of us Nevers just thought he was a prissy pink princess and said as much. Well, most of us. Some of the girls secretly mooned over him.

There were no lessons today, and those competing in the Trial had free-reign of the groom room. To train or whatever. That's where I found Sebastian as I sauntered in everyone staring at the tight-fit leggings and leather t-shirt combined with combat boots (the kind that were completely silent on the hard floor). He was kick-boxing against Alec and Layla was cheering. Sebastian noticed me almost immediately and stood down.

"You're not training?"

"Nah, need to keep up my strength rather than waste it on a bunch dummies."

"Huh." He pulled off his soaked shirt. "Right. Well, I'm gonna go shower then I'll uhhh see you in you're room if you're not staying." I nodded.

"I'll come with." Said Alec also pulling of his shirt. The boys left and Layla bounced over, full of excitement as ever.

"Do you have a plan for the Trial?" She asked.

"I'll tell you when we're all in my room."

"Okay, come on then." We walked out.

About 10 minutes later we were all gathered around a map of the blue forest on the floor.

"Ok, so you two are the pair before us." I said motioning to Alec and Layla. "Hide somewhere in this area" I pointed to the area surrounding the entrance of the Blue Forest. "Eliminate anyone on sight. When me and Sebastian enter we all go and clear out Pine Glen. Then, we split up and you take this side, and we'll take the other. Keep circling the areas and eliminating people."

"What if it's just us four left?" Asked Layla.

"Then, we fight it out." They all nodded in agreement.

"There can only be one winner." Muttered Alec.

We spent the next 2 hours going over fighting tactics and memorising the information we had gathered about our opponents. Then, we gathered with the rest of the school ready for the Trial to begin.

Okay, first of all sorry I haven't updated in AGES it was Christmas and then I've been busy with school. Sorry for the short chapter too, I wanted to leave it on a sort of cliffhanger. Mwahahaha. Okay I'll update ASAP. But no promises.
