I woke up at six to consistent tapping on my temple my eyes fluttered open to see a mischievous fairy staring at me.
"Hello" I began in the language of the fey. She looked delighted. "What do you want?"
Tinkle, tinkle, tinkle. I'm here to give you you're new timetable.

"Are you now?" I teased her still speaking in faerie. "And what's your name?"
Nala
"Pleased to meet you, my name is Ashley."

We all know who you are. Ashley Whitemoor, the blood that runs in your veins calls to us.

"I don't like to talk about that part of me. But I know we are going to be great friends!" She giggled and I knew I was right.

Here's you're timetable. Self defence is twice a day two hours at seven and then again during second period.

"Ok, I'd better get ready then, pleasure meeting you, Nala"

You too, hope to meet again soon, Ashley.

And with tat she left the room. Emerald yawned. "Why can I hear bells?"

"I was talking to one of the faeries."

"Not possible, you can only speak fey if you have angel demon or fey blood. It's ok if your hobby is bell ringing, I won't judge."

I took a deep breath, here we go "Where I come from, I'm a Shadowhunter. I'm part angel." I told her "I was speaking with one of the faeries" She gasped.

"Really?" She practically shouted waking Lily.

"Why are you up so early, it's 20 past 6" Lily moaned

"I have to go to self defence at seven" I explained. Then Em interrupted and screamed
"SHE'S PART ANGEL HOW AMAZING IS THAT???" Lily gaped, eyes wide.

"No way!" I brushed my hair back to reveal my pointed ears. "Woah.."

"I heard her talking to one of the faeries earlier!" Em told her.
I grabbed my clothes which were basically the same vest top in indigo and light weight, movable skinny leather jeans. I got ready as Em and Lily continued to chat about my holy-bloodedness, if only they knew all of it...
I pulled on my boots, strapped on my sword and headed to the training room.

The boys were already in there when I arrived, they turned and stared when I walked in.
"Nice sword, what's it made of? Hard plastic?" The boys mocked me.

"No actually it's made of dragon-fire steel, my thirteenth birthday gift" I sat on a bench and took off my boots.

"You're lying, only faeries have access to dragon-fire steel, and the fey aren't a people for giving things away" the same boy thought he knew better.

I laughed a mocking laugh"Nobody here knows a thing about faerie land or the fey, do they?" I began to tie up my waist-length jet black hair, revealing my ears once again. "I'm part angel, also pretty close with the Unseelie King, can't you tell? I almost grew up in faerie land!" I laughed at them. They looked at me in shocked silence. I smirked. Then the professor walked in.
"Welcome class and an especially warm welcome to Ashley who will be joining us from now on." He smiled "Today we will be focusing on unarmed combat." A grin spread across my lips, I was going to show these boys what I'm made of. "Could Ashley and Ben please fight first, please remove all weaponry before stepping onto the mat"He looked pointedly at me. I unstrapped my blade and stepped lightly onto the mat. I look at Ben, his posture told me that he was sure he would win. He couldn't be more wrong...
"On your marks, FIGHT!" Shouted the professor. I was immediately on my toes my weight balanced my arms in a defensive position. I let Ben deliver a few blows so he felt over confident. The boys began chanting his name. Ben went for a head blow but I ducked punching him the chest. A look of surprise was on his face. He advanced towards me until I was at the edge of the mat, it was now or never... I left up flicking his chin upwards, as I came down behind him I grabbed him into a headlock and pushed him to the ground. He stared up at me, his hands in the air
"I recede from the fight" he gasped out. I laughed.
"Not just a pretty face now, huh?" I smirked mocking him. I stepped lightly off the mat.
"And that, gentlemen is how, you win a fight and end it with the right amount of attitude." I smirked again. The rest of the two hours was spent watching the others fight and training on the punch bags. By the end of it I was sticky with sweat. Unfortunately for me I had to go straight to beatification so I toward myself and sprayed myself with deodorant and perfume and walked out. One of the boys caught up to me and clapped me on the shoulder
"Nice skills, wish I could do that," he said.
"Thanks. It's all about balancing your weight properly. If you have the right balance you can do anything. But not so bad yourself."
"Thank you. My name's Maxwell by the way."
"Nice to meet you, Maxwell. I'm Ashley but you probably already know that. I have to go now, bye."
"Bye" and with that I slipped into the classroom.
"How was it?" Liz gushed as soon as I stepped in.
"Great, I kicked a load of butt!" I exclaimed "They'll have to think next time they want to beat me!"
"Well done! Too bad you have to get up so early..." In walked the teacher (sorry guys I know barley any names) "Today we will be learning how to deal with spots..." I was bored, who cared about stupid spots? The lesson dragged on, but, by the angel, I managed to come first by some miracle, I must have learnt it somewhere, it seemed I was climbing up the ranks.

Sorry I don't know any of the teachers names, I'll try to find them. Also sorry if I got Castor and Pollux the wrong way round you'll just have to go with it.
