I'm going to say some lyrics and explain my view on them.
Yea I probably got a couple of screws up in my head loose
But no worse than what's going on in your parent's bedrooms
Sometimes I want to get on TV and just let loose, but can't,
But it's cool for Tom Green to hump a dead moose
Why can people hump dead moose but not express ourselves? I think humping moose is worse then talking about things.
My bum is on your lips, my bum is on your lips
And if I'm lucky you might just give it a little kiss
And that's the message that we deliver to little kids
And expect them not to know what a women's clitoris is.
How can anyone expect for me to not know WAY to much for my age if you think
Throw it up, throw it up
Watch it all fall out
Pour it up, pour it up
That's how we ball out
Is appropriate for a 6 year old? Why is it 'cute' when kids sing and dance to things that are inappropriate?
Ciara will not be spared
This beat is
Outrageous, so contagious, make you crave it
Jazze made it
So retarded, top-charted, ever since the day I started
Strut my stuff and yes I flaunt it
Goodies make the boys jump on it
No I can't control myself
Now let me do my one, two step
This song is really good, great beat, melody, Ciara has a great voice too, but why is that her 9th (1st on Spotify) most popular song? She has better songs that are appropriate. Like, Like A Boy that song is telling women to stop letting boys act like their better or whatever.
Is this:
Panda, Panda
Panda, Panda, Panda, Panda, PandaI got broads in Atlanta
Twistin' dope, lean, and the Fanta
Credit cards and the scammers
Hittin' off licks in the bando
Black X6, Phantom
White X6 looks like a panda
Goin' out like I'm Montana
Hundred killers, hundred hammers
Black X6, Phantom
White X6, panda
Pockets swole, Danny
Sellin' bar, candy
Man I'm the macho like Randy
The choppa go Oscar for Grammy
Bitch nigga pull up ya panty
Hope you killas understand me
what it comes to? Stupid nothing music? No point and repetitive? Wow... Just wow...
Why can't music be more like this?:
They used to tell me
I hope you learn to make it on your own
And if you love yourself just know you'll never be alone
I hope that you get everything you want and that you chose
I hope that it's the realest thing that you ever know
Hope you get the pretty girls, that's pretty and everything
Million dollar cribs havin' million dollar dreams
And when you get it all just remember one thing
Remember one thing
That one man could change the world
It's super empowering! Why does everything have to be sex and drugs?
Even this song:
For all my niggaz, that drug dealin' just to get by
Stack ya money till it gets sky high
Do me a favor kids sing, kids sing
We wasn't supposed to make it past 25
Jokes on you we still alive
Throw your hands up in the sky
And say we don't care what people say
If this is your first time hearin' this
You are about to experience somethin' so cold
We never had nothin' handed, took nothin' for granted
Took nothin' from no man, man, I'm my own man
But as a shorty I looked up to the dope man
Only a dope man, I knew that wasn't a coke man
Flickin' starter coats man, man, you know man
We don't care what people say
This is for my niggaz outside all winter
'Cuz this summer they ain't finna to say next summer, I'm finna
Sittin' in the hood like community colleges
This dope money here is Lil' Trey's scholarship
'Cause ain't no to tuition for havin' no ambition
And ain't no loans for sittin' your ass at home
We forced to sell crack rap and get a job
You gotta do somethin' man your ass is grown
It's presented in a bad way but the message is great.
Even the music that should be appropriate for kids isn't always. Like Mindless Behavior's song Keep Her On The Low, it first seems like a cute little song about them liking their girlfriends or something like time then they say:
We gotta keep her,
Gotta keep her, keep her,
Keep her on the low
Gotta k-k-keep her,
Gotta keep her on the low
Now even tho I got a girl,
But I wanna get some more
Gotta figure how to get 'em
Without messin' up my flow!
Gotta keep her,
Gotta keep her, keep her,
Keep her on the low
Gotta k-k-keep her,
Gotta keep her on the low
It's the One to the Two,
And one that lets it go.
When the DJ plays my music,
We gon' get down on the floor
This would clearly affect the youth, you find a great band that is appropriate then they make a song about cheating. People do cheat but this is basically saying it's fine as long as you don't tell. So where does that leave us? Kids Bop? And what about stuff like:
Once I was seven years old my momma told me
Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Once I was seven years old
It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
considered 'inappropriate?' It's cute and telling a story that could be sad and bad for kids to hear in a good way. The same goes for this song:
Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes
Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends
Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon that I did it right
But I was younger then, take me back to whenWe found weekend jobs, when we got paid
We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown
But I can't wait to go home
Well that's all I have for now but I'll probably update later today. Bye!
