(Song - Secret Senshi - Desired)
It was Tuesday, and the aftermath of the storm wasn't very pretty. The streets were flooded and trash and mud were laying around.  I was at work, and throughout the day, I saw the large puddles water slowly evaporate into large clouds of steam.
The sun glinted on the windows of the coffee shop that I worked in. It was nearing October, so it was getting cooler by the day. Costumers walked in and out, and I just kept checking the clock to see if it was time to leave yet. By the end of the day, I was exhausted, so instead of walking home, I hailed a cab.
The ride home wasn't very long, but on the way there I gazed out of the windows at the leaves that were changing color. Some were a beautiful crimson red, some were a golden yellow. We arrived at my apartment and I handed the taxi driver my money, thanking him.
I practically crawled into my room and flopped onto the bed, instantly closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.
I woke up but wasn't in my room. I found this peculiar, because I didn't remember anything. I heard a terrible laughter coming from what sounded like a few rooms away, although I was in pitch darkness and didn't see anything past one foot ahead of me.
"You know I can see you every time you fall asleep." A soft voice, eerily calm, whispered into my ear. I lay there, perfectly still. Almost as if I was paralysed. "You know, laying still won't keep me from hurting you." The voice mumbled, no longer as close to my ear.
I stood up and looked around. There was no sign of anyone being with me, wherever I was. "Please, don't hurt her." A deeper voice pleaded from a different room. "She's all I ever cared about, she's my whole world-"
As my eyes fluttered open, I glanced at the clock. 4:57 am. God, I must've slept at least 11 hours, I thought to myself. I didn't feel sleep deprived at all, and this was new for me. I decided to check my phone for any messages and discovered that there were 7 missed calls from Joji, 4 text messages, and 3 voicemails. There was also a text from the unknown number that I knew so well.
I decided to check Joji's frantic attempts to contact me first. I looked at when they were sent, seeing that they weren't made that long ago, about 25 minutes prior to now. I tapped on his contact and called him. He answered almost immediately.
"Where the fuck were you?" He snapped, but his voice softened after I said, "Good morning to you too, Joji." "Sorry. I was just worried as fuck. You didn't answer me for like, a day." He sighed. I felt somewhat flattered. He cares about me. I smiled on the inside.
"Awe, I'm honoured." I joked, hearing him chuckle. "I was actually going to ask if you wanted to go out for dinner, but err... I guess it's too... early...? For that." Joji said, yawning. "It's never too early for food." I said, looking at the time again. 5:03 a.m. "True." I heard him mumble. "Come over." I grinned.
It must had been 30 minutes before I heard a knock on my door. I had managed to make 2 coffees and a ratchet, microwaved chocolate cake. I opened the door to see Joji, a smile plastered onto his face, a twinkle in his drowsy eyes.
"You look beautiful, even though you just woke up." He stated as he walked in through the doorway. I stood there, frozen for a second. You look beautiful. He just told me... I was overreacting. What if he was being sarcastic? My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a mug being set down on the table. "This coffee tastes really good, by the way." He said softly, licking his lips.
"Th-thanks." I stuttered, gazing at his gorgeous face for a moment. Was I actually in love?
