Hailey
Once I was dragged out of the old warehouse by Justin, I dared to speak up. ''Justin please-'' ''Shut up.'' Justin hissed, tightening his grip around my wrist as he looked around him and walked faster. Was he really going to kill me? Suddenly Justin stopped, we were standing like 20 meters from the back of the warehouse. He pulled his gun out of the waistband of his pants, making me scream. Justin cupped my mouth with his free hand. ''Don't move, and don't even scream okay?'' He spat quietly. I breathed heavily, making squeaky noises because of the lack of air. Lifting his gun up, I closed my eyes, aware of what was going to happen. Tears flooded over my cheeks but I didn't care, nobody would ever see me again. This was it.
PANG.
I screamed, but not because of pain. I opened my eyes, blinking a few times. I stood in the same position as before, I wasn't laying at the ground, wounded. No, Justin still had his hand on my mouth and we still just stood there. The hand that was holding the gun wasn't pointed towards me, but it was pointed to the side. Justin didn't shot me. Switching his gaze from the gun towards me, Justin's eyes pierced through my shocked once before he lifted his hand off my mouth and took hold of my wrist again. He began to drag me towards his car, the gun was back in the waistband of his pants again. Opening the passenger's door, Justin pushed me inside before slamming it shut. After a few seconds he got in too, starting the engine, the car came to life. Besides my chest -which was moving up and down in a very fast pace-, I didn't move a flinch. I just looked ahead but saw a tensed up Justin in the corner of my eyes. The sky was already dark, streetlights were giving the deserted streets a yellow glow. I looked at the time on the little screen in the dashboard, showing me that it was already 9:30pm. My parents are gonna kill me, if I ever see them again because I didn't even know where Justin was taking me. ''W-where are you taking me?'' I whispered, not sure if he could hear me. ''Home.'' He said sternly, avoiding my gaze. I let out a relieved sigh. Butl I was still worried, not about me, about Justin. Call me crazy, but I was scared that anything would happen to him. He didn't kill me, and I really wanted to know why he didn't. ''Why didn't you kill me?'' I blurted out before I tensed up, scared that Justin would be pissed off. Justin didn't say anything, so I turned my head away from him, looking out of the window. ''I don't know.'' Justin spoke up after a few seconds, making me stiffen up, my nails digging into the leader of the seat. I took his answer as a sign that he didn't mind if he'd kill me. Justin noticed it and switched his gaze towards me for a second before looking back at the road. ''I'm not going to kill you okay, don't worry.'' He tried to sound emotionless, but I could tell he had a bit of worry in his voice. I nodded softly, looking at my lap as I relaxed again, well not really relaxed but you know what I mean.
We were driving for an hour in silence now, and I started to freak out a little because it was taking him so long to bring me home. But then I realised we were in my neighbourhood, my house was already in sight. Letting out a long breath, Justin stopped in front of my house. I looked at him slightly before I turned to open the door. ''Wait.'' He spoke, causing me to turn my head towards him. He looked at me as he bit the inside of his cheek. ''Don't tell anyone what happened.'' He warned me, ''And you have to promise me that you won't ever go near that alley again.'' He send me a hard glare. I kept silence, kinda lost in his cold eyes. ''Well?'' Justin began to grow impatient. ''I-I promise.'' I said quietly, looking down. Justin sighed. ''You can go now.'' Shooting my head up, there was one question bothering me. ''Why did you shot through the air instead of me?'' I furrowed my eyebrows lightly, still looking at the ground. ''So that they'll think I did kill you.'' He avoided my gaze since I lifted my head back up. I nodded before stepping out of the car. I wanted to ask him in what of shit he was involved with, but I knew that was none of my business so I kept quiet.Walking around the car to walk towards my house, I looked back at Justin after I felt his eyes burning into my back. Just when I wanted to say something, the front door of my house flew open, my parents running towards me before hugging me tightly. ''Where have you been!'' My mom cried into my hair. ''I-I was-'' I didn't know what to say. My dad pulled away and looked towards Justin, who didn't had any time to drove off. ''And who is he?!'' My mom pulled away to before we all looked towards Justin, who was sitting in his car avoiding our gazes. My dad quickly walked over to the car before raising his voice. ''Get out. Now.'' He demanded to Justin, who darted his eyes up to meet my dad furious ones. Suprisingly, Justin did what he was told as he opened the door and stepped out, standing in front of my dad. ''Dad..'' I trailed off, walking towards him and Justin along with my mom. ''What the hell did you do to-'' ''He helped me.'' I cut him off looking at Justin who's eyebrows were furrowed in confusion. Turning his head towards me, dad signaled me to go on. ''He- I.. My car just broke down, and he offered to give me a lift home.'' I made up, looking at the ground. ''And that took you 2 hours?!'' Dad asked in disbelief. ''No, first I wanted to call you guys but you didn't answer.'' Horrible lie, I know. ''I didn't recieve any call from you.'' Dad turned to mom, who was also shaking her head. ''That's weird, I've called you a lot of times..'' I trailed off. ''Where's your bag?'' Mom raised her brows. ''That's the thing, I don't know.. I think I let them in my car.'' That wasn't the truth either, I let my bag fall on the ground as soon as I saw the gang. It's probably already stolenLuckily I still had my phone, which was in the backpocket of my jeans. My parents nodded, I supressed a smile as I realised my lie worked. ''Well.. thank you very much for helping my daughter..'' My dad trailed off, wanting to know Justin's name. ''Justin.'' Justin finished for him, shaking my dad's hand after he put it out for him to shake it. My parents nodded at him before walking back inside the house, signaling me to do too. ''Bye Justin.'' I put up a small smile, letting my parents think he didn't nearly killed me. ''Bye.. Hailey.'' He looked at the ground before stepping inside his car to drive across the street, towards his own house. I looked at him one more time, before I stepped into my house.
