Hailey

'We need to talk. Now.' Was the first thing I heard when I woke up on a sunday morning. Olivia called me, only saying those words before hanging up. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion as I received a tekst.

'I'm at your place in ten minutes.'

It was Olivia, usually she's always so cheerful but now anger was evident in her voice, making my stomach to turn in nervosity. I stood up from my kingsize bed as I walked over to my dresser and got ready for the day. After I walked downstairs I saw my sister looking at me with a smirk on her face while gulping down some pancakes. I raised one eyebrow, walking over to the kitchen before grabbing some cornflakes. ''Where are mom and dad?'' I asked as I walked over to the seat next to her, sitting down. ''They're at some event for their work or something.'' She mumbled, taking another bite of her pancake. Yeah, my parents work for the same company and actually that's how they met eachother. I nodded softly before continuing to eat my breakfast. I looked over at Nikki, who was scrolling through some texts on her phone. ''Is that your boyfriend?'' I said teasing, causing her to scof and roll her eyes. ''Oh my god no! Don't be so nosy.'' She mumbled irritated, but then she smirked again. Switching her gaze of off her mobile, she looked over to me. ''But it seemed like you have a boyfriend.'' She grinned at me, lifting her eyebrows as a sign for me to spill the truth. I turned red and nearly choked on my cornflakes ''What are you talking about?'' I mumbled quickly before walking towards the dishwasher to put the bowl in it. I turned around, leaning my back at the counter while looking at the ground. ''You know what I'm talking about.'' She said nochalant. I didn't say anything, in stead I just shook my head. ''Ugh! I'm talking about that Bieber boy!'' Sighing desperately because of my fake dumbness. My cheeks were getting a shade of dark red when I heard the name 'Bieber'. ''What's up with him?'' I shrugged looking like I didn't care. ''Just admit that you like him already.'' Nikki threw her hands in the air to make her point clear. Before I could respond, the doorbell rang. I sighed ''No word about this to mom and dad okay?'' I hissed before walking out of the kitchen. ''So it's true!'' She shouted before I groaned. ''Just shut up Nikki!'' I said before I opened the door. I faced a red headed Olivia who stormed inside. ''Well hello to you too.'' I mumbled confused, following her towards the livingroom. She suddenly turned around, making me stop walking. Putting her hands on her hips as she send daggers towards me with her glare. ''Are you going CRAZY?!'' She nearly shouted at me causing me to jump a little. ''W-what are you-'' ''Hailey don't act like you don't know!'' She spat. ''You and Justin! I saw you guys on the field yesterday!'' Her voice raised, making it crack a little at the end. Shit shit shit shit. I immediately thought. ''Wha-What?'' I stumbled, ''How'd-'' I was cut off. ''I was taking a walk with my dog and then I saw you two!'' She shouted ''You were KISSING HIM!'' I flinched at her loud squeaking voice, quickly looking around me if Nikki was anywhere near, but luckily she wasn't. ''I-I can explain.'' I mumbled. No I can't explain, I don't know how. ''Yeah I really want to know.'' She hissed before she sat down on the couch, crossing her arms. ''I-I..'' I stumbled over my words. ''I just-'' I stopped talking. ''Go on'' Olivia ordered, raising her eyebrows. ''I- I don't know okay?'' I let my arms fall numbly at my sides in desperation to find answers. Olivia sighed loudly, ''Hail, do you like him?'' She asked me, keeping her gaze locked on mine. I don't know, do I? Since our kiss.. No, even since I met Justin I feel different, I feel better and.. I don't know what I feel. ''I don't know.'' I said the truth. Letting out another sigh, Olivia stood up to stand in front of me again. ''Hailey, he's no good. I just don't understand it, he's like a criminal!'' Her eyes widened at the thought of it. ''How can you even have feelings for someone who's like that?'' She stared at me. ''Some gang murdered a boy last Friday.. What if Justin's in that gang too?'' My stomach turned painfully and my hands were getting sweaty. Justin's in that gang, and I was there when it happened. Olivia noticed my sudden tense as she laid a hand on my shoulder. ''I just want the best for you, Hail.'' She trailed off,  ''And he's not the best for you.'' I didn't know what to say but what if she was right? The biggest part of me didn't want her to be right. I wanted to be by Justin's side, but that other part told me it was the most stupid idea ever. I just nodded in respond before Olivia gave me a tight hug. ''Please promise me you won't go near him again..'' She begged as she pulled away and grabbed both of my shoulders. I was silent for a moment. ''I-I promise.'' I mumbled, cocking my head to the side as I bit on the inside of my cheek. ''Okay.'' She whispered. ''I have to go now, but we'll call okay?'' ''Okay'' I nodded before following her towards the front door. ''Olivia,'' I stopped her from walking out. She turned around before I continued. ''Please don't tell anyone about me and Justin.'' She smiled softly, ''I won't.'' And with that, she left.
