*Ryan's Point of View*

As soon as I saw her my jaw dropped to the floor. She. Looked. Gorgeous. Even in kindergarten she was beautiful.  But today... Geez it's like you took a movie star out of a magazine and put Ashley's face on her. Today she was wearing black jeans and a dark forest green top. Her makeup wasn't caked on like most girls do, it was simple and complimented her dark emerald eyes. Her long, dark, chocolate brown hair was left down, but slightly curled at the ends. Seriously I couldn't stop staring. This summer we saw each other almost every day, I made sure of it. She isn't like other girls. They're all spending hours trying to figure out how to do their hair, do their makeup, what they should wear, while you could tell Ashley to get out of bed and get dressed and if you convinced her to do so she'd be out in five minutes in Jeans and a t-shirt. She wouldn't worry about her looks or anything. She did have a younger sister however, Katrina, and she urged Ashley to pay more attention. Ashley didn't care though. I realized I was still staring at her with my mouth wide open when she slowly pushed my chin up. "Come on, let's go. It's already eight and school starts at eight fifteen. And it takes ten minutes to get there." She said giggling. I quickly tried to recompose myself. "uh, yeah." I said. I could feel myself blushing. Real smooth Ryan, real smooth. I thought to myself as we ran out the door of her and her family's apartment.
