*Ryan's Point of View*
Ashley falls asleep on me a lot. I don't mind at all though. She fell asleep Saturday night next to me again, which quickly made me fall asleep. I was out at about 9:30. At some point my parents came home and left a note saying:
When we got home you two were fast asleep on the couch, and we just couldn't bring ourselves to wake you up. Mrs. Delgato will probably be slightly worried however, so you should call her this morning.
When we woke up, it was about 9:30 in the morning. Wow, 12 hours of sleep for me. Sweet. 12.5 hours for Ashley. I woke up because I heard the burner turn on. I was about to turn around when I realized Ashley was still snuggled against me asleep. I froze. She looked so happy, I didn't want to wake her up. "Hey, you at the stove. Who are you?" I said, careful to say it quiet enough to not wake Ashley. I heard a giggle. Aiden. AIDEN WAS USING THE STOVE. I was just about to jump up and turn everything off so he wouldn't burn the house down when I heard my mother say "And me. He wanted to help make breakfast. Pancakes okay?" I sighed with relief. "Pancakes would be great." I said. I felt Ashley move a little and groan. She obviously wanted to keep sleeping. Moving as little as possible I tucked the blanket in tighter around her and moved her a little closer to me. She smiled a little. "Try not to make too much noise. Ashley is still asleep." I whisper-called out to my mother and Aiden. "Oh I forgot! Ashley is over there next to you. Sorry." My mother said. "We'll be quiet!" Aiden yelled. Ashley groaned. And moved a little more, snuggling even closer to me. I heard my mother clamp a hand over his mouth and watched her direct him up the stairs to his and Adam's room. She smiled apologetically at me and Ashley. "She'll be up soon." I said. "She had a rough Friday night and we were exhausted after the pool yesterday." "That's just fine." My mother replied and went back to mixing pancakes. I looked down at Ashley. She was lucky she was still asleep. I'm surprised actually. I looked at the clock and realized I had been staring for ten minutes. Then I saw a tear trickle down her cheek. She was crying in her sleep. She stirred slightly and opened her eyes. She looked afraid. When she saw me her eyes widened and she immediately shot out to the other side of the couch breathing hard. "Ashley?" I questioned. She realized it was me and came back and hugged me tightly. "Sorry..." She said. "Nightmare?" I asked. "I don't wanna talk about it." She buried her face in my chest and I hugged her tightly. I just had one thought. I hate Alex. I know it was him. "What time is it?" Ashley asked, lifting her face. "9:45." I answered. "Is Ashley awake?" I heard my mother whisper. "I'm awake Mrs. Black." Ashley called. "Oh, good. The pancakes are ready. There are pecans in them." My mother said. Ashley and I both love pecan pancakes. We were just getting up when Adam and Aiden can thundering down the stairs and raced over to the plate of read pancakes. They snatched up all of them, took a bite out of each one, grinned and walked to the table. "Well the pancakes WERE ready." My mother said glaring at the twins. "It's alright, we can wait." Ashley said. The twins each had three pancakes each. "No more for you two. That's plenty." My mother said and she shook her spatula at the thieves. They groaned and Adam reached for the pecan syrup. A couple minutes later, Ashley and I each got our own pancakes. After the first few delicious bites, Ashley sighed and grabbed the phone. She saw the note. "Hi mom. Yes, I'm at Ryan's. We fell asleep watching movies. No!" She said and blushed. "That's not true! You're an idiot Katrina. Of course not! Ugh shut up and put mom back on. Hi again mom. What? No she isn't! Mommmmmmm! Okay whatever, no I don't know when I'll be back now goodbye!" She said. She was blushing so hard her whole face was red. She wouldn't look at me. "What was that all about?" I asked. She blushed even harder, if that was possible and just said "Nothing. They were just wondering when I'd be back and I said I didn't know." There is something more to that, but I didn't say anything. I'll probably get it out of her later. When we finished I asked Ashley what she wanted to do. "I think I might just go home and read. Maybe just have a lazy day." She said. "Sounds good to me." I said. "Monika?" She asked. "Nope." I answered. She was still guessing girls, trying to find out who I liked. "Dude are you gay or something?" She asked. I laughed. "Nope." She sighed and started for the door. "You have until Wednesday." I said. She sighed again. "I have another guess. I'm saving it for the last second though. I doubt it's true." Then she walked out the door. I wonder who she has in mind.
