Emma's POV

I saddled up Winter as Cole watched.

I pulled myself up in the saddle quickly as Cole grinned at me.

I started to run on Winter, grinning over my shoulder at Cole,my hair whipping around my face.

He started to get up on the fence.

I turned in a circle and ran up to the jumps.

I squeezed my knees into Winter's sides and we cleared the jump easily.

We finished the complicated 3 jump combo and jumped a 3 footer.

I pulled Winter up beside Cole who was sitting on the fence.

I slid off Winter and went to pull the jumps down.

Cole jumped of the fence and helped me.

I smiled and saw Amy and Reed coming over to the arena.

"Hi Amy!" I said as I piled the poles beside the fence.

"I'm glad your using those jumps 'cause I won't," she said as she propped herself up on the fence.

"Yeah but they're a pain in the rear end to take down," I grunted as I pulled two stands to the side as Amy laughed.

"You doing barrels?" she asked seeming excited.

I nodded and she raced off probably to get Dox, her prized horse.

I grinned and Cole and I went to get the barrels.

I pulled one into place as Cole did with another.

"Ready?!" Amy called from atop Dox.

"Almost! Calm down." I said as I walked out of the way to Winter.

She ran down the arena and rounded the first barrel almost knocking it down.

"Bigger gap Amy!!" I yelled as I watched her and Dox's moves.

She didn't ride the last barrel and knocked it over.

"What did I tell you?!?" I yelled at her when she pulled up beside me.

"Sorry bad habit," she shrugged.

"Your turn," she said over her shoulder as she walked Dox over to Reed.

I pulled Winter into line and kicked his sides.

He ran with a burst of speed to the first barrel.

I pulled him up to turn the barrel and we ran to the second barrel circling around it.

We ran with another little burst of speed to the third barrel.

We turned that and ran "home".

I patted Winters neck.

I walked out of the covered arena out into the sunlight and started to walk in a HUGE paddock.

I sighed and dismounted.

I slid Winter's bit out of his mouth and sat in the shade of a tree as Winter grazed.

I was just going into the darkness just as hooves pounded up beside me.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Author's note.
