Road trip!!!!!!

Emma's POV

I shoved the last of my tack in the trailer before shutting the door on the rear tack. We were heading to Gallop New Mexico.

And when I say we I mean John Luke, Lily, Amy, Reed and Cole and I. We were taking different cars and one horse trailer.

We were then going to swing around and see my grandparents in Arizona on their good-sized farm.

They owned a horse breeding farm an were in the top 5 for the best. They always had quality breeding and body shapes and the best bloodlines.

They have 3 brood mares that have Man O' War bloodlines and 3 others who have Rocket Wrangler. My horse actually came as a gift from them when he was a colt.

He came in a crate but i couldn't see him until we opened it. He nickered softly and pressed into me. I guess my hair color was the same as his mom because he was pressed close as I walked him slowly to the barn. Aww good memories.

Ok back to the action.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and I jumped. I turned to see Cole laughing at me. I glared at him and pulled his arms off of me as I brought Thunder from the newly built barn to the trailer.

I loaded him up and made sure everything was good before getting out and closed the door. I pounded my hand on the back and Amy and Reed pulled out of my driveway.

John Luke and Lily went with Amy and Reed. So it was just Cole and me.

We got into his pickup and I turned on the radio, turned to curl up in my seat and started to fall asleep but not before I see and feel Cole take my hand and smile down at me.

5 hours later

I woke up suddenly with the sun shining in my eyes. I sat up and stretched as we were sitting at a truck stop. Cole was nowhere to be seen and I couldn't see anybody I knew until I saw my old friend from Texas so I figured we were on the edge of Texas or somewhere near there.

I pulled my phone out and asked Cole were he was. He replied a little later.

I'm in the store come on in if you need anything.

Ok. I texted him back and got out. Alisha my old friend came running at me and said, "Emily!!!! how are you? I'm doing fine but missing you. you haven't talked to me like at all!!!!!!, Who's that guy your with? he's kinda cute." she droned on.

I laughe and tried to answer all her questions. About two minutes later I said goodbye after I promised to talk to her more.

I walked into the store and saw Cole getting something to drink. I walked over to him an grabbed a Gatorade.

I walked down the candy section, grabbing up a bag of sour gummy worms.

Cole smiled at me and we walked up to the cashier together.

Lily's POV

I was spread across the seat with my feet on the lap of a sleeping John Luke. We were only a third of the way to Gallop.

My music pumped through my Beats as I sat up. I swung my legs off his lap and he moved around and mumbled something in his sleep.

I smiled tiredly at his little mumblings. I couldn't wait to see my grandparents and just the thought of them woke me up.

My grandparents were always like parent to me and they loved me as much as I loved them (which is a lot).

I should stop and get them souvenirs, for grandpa a buffalo something and for grandma something heart shaped.

I fell back asleep as we drove by a cow farm.
