Ally's POV;

The sun was shining through my curtains upon my dark and dreary mood, trying to cheer me up and make me forget about the news I heard last night. I was shocked, yes. Sad, yes. Weak, no. I wouldn't sit around and wait for the news to send me into a deep depression or hold me in it's grasp until I snap. I will get up and go through the day, as I always did, I always survive.

As I let out a sigh I headed to the bathroom and had a shower, washing and cleaning my hair and body. Once I was finished and dry I got dressed and headed downstairs into the kitchen. I looked at the note left upon the dining table and read it;

We need to speak about this sweetheart, if you'll listen i'll tell you everything. Just don't judge or hate before you know what really happened, I love you, Dad x

I sighed and placed it in the bin before pouring myself a mug of coffee and pulling out my phone to see I had one new message, it was from Elena, it read;

Hey, hope you're doing ok. Stefan wants to see us before school, you in?

I sighed and answered quickly;

I'm in, i'll be there in a few.

Once the message was sent I finished my coffee and ran upstairs, brushing thoroughly through my teeth then brushing through my long brown hair. It didn't make sense for me to be adopted, I was exactly like my mom, long brown hair, ocean blue eyes, confident, brave, but I guess that was just chance, just luck.

I watched as tears urged to flow from my eyes so I quickly wiped them away and shook my head, I couldn't be weak, I wasn't that sort of person, I had to be strong.

I walked away from the mirror and quickly packed my school bag for after we leave Stefan's. Once I was packed and ready to go I quickly grabbed my keys and phone before walking out of the front door and down to Elena's, hoping today would be easier.

When I got to hers I knocked on the front door calmly and waited a few moments before she opened it with a small smile, I looked at her face and saw behind the smile, I saw me, I saw pain, denial, upset, alone. She was going through exactly what I was.

I hugged her tight and smiled into her shoulder, feeling her hug me back and whisper "Are you ok?" I nodded and whispered back "I'm good, you?" She mumbled "I'm fine." I pulled back as she muttered "I'm here for you, you know that right?" I nodded and said "Thankyou. I'm here for you too." She smiled and walked with me to her car, before getting in along with me and driving towards Stefan's.

The boarding house soon came into view as we drove over the bridge and parked the car on the drive, I looked at Elena and gave her a nod before getting out and following her to the front door.

Stefan immediately opened the door with an appreciative smile, he stood to the side and said "Come on in." I smiled and mumbled "Thanks." Elena nodded and muttered "Thankyou." We both stepped inside and listened to Stefan shut the door behind us and follow through.

I slumped down onto his sofa as Elena sat on the opposite one next to Stefan, she turned to me and asked "Who was that man in the road?" I shrugged as Stefan questioned me "Do you remember anything else about him?"

I thought back to when the man in the hoodie approached the car, head down, black shoes walking towards me. I let out a shiver before mumbling "I wish. I never really saw his face, he was wearing a hoodie, all I can remember is these black boots coming towards me." I shivered again and thought about something else, taking my mind off the creepy vampire.

Stefan nodded deep in thought before he said to Elena "I've got some Vervain, for you, Jenna, and a bracelet for Jeremy, then a few extra ones for friends, you can put it in jewelery or you can either put it in food or drink, aslong as it's in you or on you a vampire can't control you."
