~Ally's POV;~

The next day I woke up to see Elena and Bonnie sitting on the end of the bed talking and smiling, Bonnie turned to me and said "You're up." Elena smirked and muttered "About time." I rolled my eyes and mumbled "Sorry." They laughed as I got out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom, dragging my clothes and toiletries with me. Once I had used Elena's shower and got dressed, I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair before knocking on Jeremys door.

His voice called over "Come in!" I walked into his room, which was dark and gloomy.

I turned on his light and said "Way to be depressing Jer." He smirked and mumbled "Hey Ally, what's up?" I shrugged and muttered "Just came to say hi. How're you doing?" He looked at his hands and said "I've been kinda down but thats nothing new. Look at this." He held his sketchbook out to me, showing a picture of a man with fangs, eyes pure black. I grinned and mumbled "Impressive." He laughed and muttered "Thanks."

I got up from his bed and said "I'm always here for you, you know that right?" He nodded and answered "Yeah, thanks, Ally." I nodded with a smile before ruffling his hair up and walking to his door. He called over "You're gonna pay for that." I snorted and mumbled "Yeah, yeah Gilbert." I walked out and into Elena's bedroom again.

Elena asked "Are you ready for the future career day at school?" I raised an eyebrow and mumbled "Are you serious?" She giggled as I got my stuff together then followed them downstairs into the kitchen. Once we had drank some coffee and prepared ourselves for the long day ahead, we set off down the street and towards school.

Whilst we were walking I thought to myself, what did I actually want to be when I was older? What career did I actually want to pursue? I'd always wanted to be a vampire when I was younger but that's not gonna help me today. I hate future career days.

When we reached school I walked into the corridor with Elena and Bonnie and looked ahead as Matt and Caroline laughed together and walked off. I gaped and asked "Did I miss something?" Elena shook her head and said "I'm confused too. What's going on with them two?" Bonnie answered "They've been hanging out."

Elena muttered "Kinda weird, don't you think?" I nodded in agreement as Bonnie defended "She needs someone nice like him as opposed to a homocidal vampire like Damon."  I rolled my eyes.

Elena questioned "Yeah, how are you doing with all that?" Bonnie frowned and answered "I'm really freaked out. Damon attacked me, I could be dead right now." She thought for a moment then continued in a calmer tone "But i'm also grateful to Stefan, he saved my life. Have you seen him?"

Elena took off her scarf and shoved it in her locker as she answered "Not since he told me he was leaving. For all I know, he's already gone." I frowned at the thought of that, I had just grown so close to Stefan lately, he felt like family.

Bonnie surprisingly defended him "He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye." Elena argued "Yes he would. He thinks he's protecting me... Clean break and all that." I asked nervously "So what you gonna do?" She slammed her locker shut and said "What am I supposed to do? I already begged him not to go, if I ask again i'm being selfish. It is what it is."

Bonnie mumbled more to herself than anyone "Maybe it's for the best." I frowned at her and asked "What? Why?" Bonnie muttered "I mean what kind of future could you have had with him even if he stayed?" Before Elena could answer a banner from above us dropped down, reading ;

The Promise Of Your Future.

I looked from the banner to Bonnie as Elena asked her "Did you just...?" Bonnie mumbled "No, I swear." I snorted as Elena sighed and smacked the banner out of her way before walking down the corridor.
