Chapter 24: What Just Happened?

As One-shot awoke from the blast she felt a weight on top of her, she hadn't opened her eyes yet. One-shot opened her eyes to a horror she didn't want to see. She saw Hailey on top of her, there were steel rods coming out of her back, legs and shoulders. The thing that scared her the most was the steel rod stick straight out of her chest. She began to cry in front of Hailey's body.

"Love......no...." One-shot covered her mouth with her hands

Hailey was able to look up, she was able to that much. She smiled but her whole mouth and her teeth were drenched in blood. She struggled to stay in that position. She reached to her back and pulled a rod out; there were two in her shoulders.

'H-Hey love, I saved you this time...." She coughed up blood while smiling

"Y-Yeah you did" she said choking up

"N-Now we are even" she hugs One-shot

Tears ran down One-shot's face as they held each other in their arms. One-shot knew deep down, Hailey wasn't gonna make it. She imagined them getting married and having adopted children living in a home after all this. She didn't expect to lose more people, she lost all her family and was about to lose her lover.

"Y-Yeah we are even" One-shot begins to cry

"Hey don't cry I wanted this" Hailey smiles

"I-I don't want to lose you" One-shot hugged her tightly

"All I ever wanted to do was to show you how much I loved you.....thank you" Hailey coughed more blood up

"You never had to show me how much you loved me I could feel it in my heart" One-shot cried

"I never had to but I did all my life I was looking for the love of my life........and I found her within you" Hailey started tearing in joy

"H-Hailey please don't leave me, I need you" One-shot pleaded

"Sorry Alex I have to go....I'll be back for you when your day comes promise" Hailey smiled

"No stay with me just for a bit longer you're the rose in my life that's why I got a rose tattooed on my neck!" she clenches her own neck

Hailey placed her hand on One-shot's neck and slowly pulled herself up and kissed One-shot. This was their last kiss; this was a special goodbye for the two. They were always friend but they, at heart, were always lovers.

"Hailey and Alex Helm the lovers of a revolution" Hailey smiled

"You've never been far from my mind Hailey" Alex kissed Hailey one last time

"I want you to have this..........the thing that kept me going even when we weren't together" she hands her a photo

The photo was a picture of Hailey and Alex on the first days they knew each other, One-shot had her tongue out and her arm wrapped Hailey. She was a bit red when that happened

"Good bye my love, my daddy is here to get me" Hailey coughed up blood and then looked down

"Hailey....Hailey! No!" Alex cried
