After the last speech was given all the villagers got up and slowly one by one walked out the door. Then the casket was carried back up the row and out the door with the king and Jenora following close behind it. They then entered the carriage that was behind the one that was going to be carrying casket. But the man that was in coach wasn’t any of the cemetery workers it was Draconus all ready to leave. They drove off and later met with the General and the rest of the troop. When the General saw them coming he quickly yelled at one of his men
“Captain get ready to switch with Draconus and head the direction of the cemetery. That’s were you will place the fake gravestone and stay there till night fall then leave the cemetery and dispose of the manikin. Got it!”
“Yes sir” replied the captain
As Draconus arrived to that spot the captain climbed aboard and Draconus handed him the reins and gently jumped off the carriage. Afterwards the carriage quickly sped off in the direction of the cemetery.
Everything so far was going as planned until one of the scouts arrived almost out of breath.
“Th-They know of the plan” the scout said
“What how could they?” Responded the king
“Unless he sent one of his spies to watch the funeral.”
“Yes, I heard one of them say that they were planning to attack tonight”
“Then we will have to put the plan on hold for a while and prepare an attack.” Jenora said and then added “Meanwhile why don’t you take a few of the soldiers with you and follow them and see where they might be planning to attack.”
The scout nodded and left with a few soldiers following right behind him.
