A Villain's Heart

Chapter 1: The Past

     The Shizene Clan once was seperated into two groups: The Dark and Light. The clan was said to know dark and light magic, that's why people kept their distance from them.

   Although in the same clan, the dark and light Shizenes were never united until one unexpected thing happened...

   A twin was born, one belonged to the dark and the other light. The whole clan was then alarmed because it never happened before.

   "Could it be a sign that the clan should be... united?", one of the elders commented.

   "I don't know... But maybe we could try. If nothing happens... nothing bad for a year, we'll take that as a sign.", the head of the Light Shizenes said.

   "It's settled then...",said the head of the Dark Shizenes.

   One year later... Nothing out of the ordinary happened and everything went well so they decided to live together officially from that day forward. They refrained from using their magic and started to live a normal life. They even started befriending the people around them.

   Seven years passed by so quickly... Luna, who's one of the dark Shizenes and Selana, who's in the light had already grown up. Both of them had hair black as coal and eyes hazel brown in color. One would only recognize who's who through their clothes and way of speaking. Luna was so gentle, while Selena was so blissful.

  One afternoon...

  "Selena, here... I made this for you...",an old lady said as she gave Selena a beautiful necklace made of white flowers. Luna, on the side witnessed that so she walk towards them.

   "What about me?", she asked, with a smile on her face. But the old lady just gave her a plain necklace, which was compared to Selena's, it was not that beautiful. Luna was so jealous at that time.

   Ever since, Selena was the favorite of the elders, the youngsters and even the people around them because of her cheerful personality. Luna's jealousy, slowly turned to anger.

   When they turned 18, the both of them fell for the same person... Nicholas Williams. But as expected, Nick ended up with Selena, leaving Luna so broken.

     Nicholas invited Selena to be his partner at the night of their prom... Surely, she accepted it, but Luna refused to come and stayed in her room and cried.

     " Luna." A voice called out in the darkness. "Luna... Luna..."

    "Who are you?"

    "Oh, poor Luna. No one loves you. No one cares about you. Not Selena, not your parents, not even Nicholas."

     "That's not true! Who are you, show yourself!"

      "However, I care for you." As if on cue, an image of a woman rose from her shadow. Slowly, it became a complete copy of her. "I am you. That's right, the only one who cares for you is yourself. It's not like you need them anyway."

    After several hours, Luna came out of the room and walked to the center of the Shizene Clan's place. She was just looking at the ground when suddely, she yelled at the top of her lungs, crying.

   "WHY IS IT ALWAYS SELENA?! WHY IS SHE ALWAYS THE FAVORITE OF EVERYONE OF YOU?! WHAT ABOUT ME?! I'M ALSO PART OF THE CLAN! WHY, WAS IT BECAUSE I BELONG TO THE DARK SHIZENES AND SELENA IN THE LIGHT?! WHY IS IT ALWAYS HER?!", Luna shouted, dark auras surrounded her.

    "Luna! Stop it right now! You don't know what you are saying!", the old lady who gave them the necklace said.

    "WHAT?! Of course I know what I am saying!!! WHY DON'T YOU JUST... SHUT UP!!!", Luna said as a dark ray beamed from her hand and it hit the old lady, who, fell unconscious after the attack.

    "H-How'd you know about the dark and light Shizenes? Who told you that?! Who taught you that magic?! Answer me Luna, ANSWER ME!!!", Luna and Selena's mother asked, worry and shock in her voice.

   "IT DOESN'T MATTER! What the heck do you care?! To you, Selena is your only daughter! Why? Heh, why do I bother to ask... OUR mother is a Light Shizene and our Father was a mortal; and they had a twin, one belonged to the light and the other dark. Who would you expect they'll love more? Of course the one who's in the Light, the one who's beautiful, angel-like! WHO, HAPPENED TO BE SELENA!!!", as she screamed, countless dark rays beamed from throughout her body and it hit everyone around her.

   After about a minute, Luna was standing in the middle of their place, breathing heavily. Around her... Everything was ruined and the whole clan, Dark and Light Shizenes lying in the ground... dead. The place was on fire.

   It was then that Selena came back with Nicholas.

   "L-Luna... W-What h-happened here?", Selena asked with a cracked voice, tear came rushing down her cheeks.

   "Oh, my favorite sister is already here...", Luna said without looking at her.

   "Yeah right, I'm your only sister... I ask you again, WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!", Selena shouted.

   "You really wanna know huh?... I DID IT... I destroyed everything and I killed everyone BECAUSE OF YOU!!!", Luna then fired a dark ray at Selena, but she avoided it on time.

   "Luna, what are you doing?! You could've killed her, your sister!", Nicholas said, helping Selena to stand.

    "SISTER?! Since when?! And you, why don't you just mind your own bussiness?! BE GONE!!!", Luna shouted as she fired an attack to Nicholas and he was hit, then thrown to the nearest wall... so badly.

   "Nicholas! Nick, hang on! I'm taking you to---", "No... Selena... Just... Take care of yourself...", Nicholas interrupted before he closed his eyes.

   "NO!  Nick, please! Wake up! W-Wake...up...", Selena cried, hugging Nicholas.

   "Enough with the drama little sister! Besides, I'll help you to be with him for eternity... That is... KILLING YOU AS WELL!!!", Luna shouted as she fired a much bigger dark ray at Selena. But then, it was scatterd by a white ray completely.

   "I've had enough... First, YOU KILLED MY LOVED ONES! Second, YOU DESTROYED MY HOME! Third, and the most important one, YOU KILLED THE ONLY MAN I LOVED! HOW COULD YOU?!", Selena shouted as she fired an attack at Luna. Her attack had hit her, sending her flying to the roof.

   "You're not Luna... You're not my loving sister! WHERE IS SHE?!", Selena followed Luna on the roof then held her by her shoulders. Luna pushed Selena away from her, hard enough for her to stumble backward, then off to her feet.

   "You're right... I'm no longer that loving sister of yours... She's already dead... She was killed by the envy, jealousy anger and sadness inside of her... Killed by those emotions she tried on hiding to herself in years...", after saying those words, Luna disappeared through the darkness.
