Chapter 4: Betrayal

Luna's POV

      I was  just sitting in my library, staring at the three red roses Nicollo had given me...

     What the hell?! Why am I doing this?! Why can't I just burn these roses into ashes?!... Am I starting to li--- NO! Luna, don't even think about it!

    After scolding myself, I sighed heavily and continued reading.

    Weeks passed by too quickly... Whenever I would show up in public, destroying everything that's got a form, of course my stupid sister would try to stop me. She never learn her lessons, does she?

    I got myself almost defeated once... But it happened that Nicollo was always there to lend me a hand and... trying hard in... Flirting with me, I guess...

    I didn't understand why but... whenever he's around, I could feel gladness and my heart was being wrapped with warmth... Though I couldn't figure out why... Maybe because, after a long time, I finally felt that someone really cared for me.

   

    Then for the first time I would like to admit to myself...Dare I say it... I think I'm starting to like-- or love him...

    Ugh! What am I saying?!

    5th day of April... It's been seven years since I slained the entire Shizene Clan...

    I decided to pay a visit at the place... The moment I arrived, I was a bit shocked to see Nicollo standing in front of the gate.

    "What are you doing here?", I asked coldly and then automatically, he turned to face me... Shock in his face.

    "L-Luna... Well I... I was just taking a walk and that's when I got here... I-I wasn't expecting you here… Is that what they call dest---", I got pissed, so even before he could finish his sentence, I walked past him and entered the place...

    Hn... Nothing has changed... Everything is still ruined as they were, seven years ago... But I don't care... I don't even feel guilt inside of me...

    "You ok? Well, I've learned that you did this... Any regrets?", he said as he stood beside me.

    "NO...", I said without a hint of emotion.

3rd Person's POV

    For a moment, they were silent... Then afterwards, Nicollo turned Luna to face him then cupped her face with his hands. " I love you, believe it or not." He leaned closer to her and gave her a kiss... After a few seconds, Luna pushed him away from her and slapped him on the face.

    "HOW DARE YOU?!", Luna shouted as black flames started to appear throughout her body.

    "I know you love me, too right? Because if not, I should have been dead by now... and you even  responded to that!", Nicollo said without hesitation.

    "I don't know what you're saying...", Luna said whilst walking away.

    "You don't need to pretend Luna... I know that the feeling's mutual...", Luna as if froze in place the moment Nicollo said those words.

    Luna bit her lip then walked towards Nicollo. She stopped right in front of him and gave him a kiss on the cheek before she disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Nicollo smiled evilly to himself as he left the place...
