Two Days Later.Katherine's POV
It's been two days and still no sign of Maya. I've been in the hospital ever since, and because I gave birth early, the doctors said we have to stay in the hospital and keep Chloe under the doctor's supervision unit it's safe for her to go home. Yes that's right, we named her Chloe. She has been the one keeping me sane for the past two days. Every time I see her and hold her in my arms I forget all about Maya and what happened that night, what we found out.
"Got you some real food." Dylan said walking in with a bag of McDonalds.
"Thank God." I said as I reached for the bag.
Dylan asked two officers to be at the hospital 24/7, one at my door and one at Chloe's. He said it's not safe and that Maya could make a move anytime now. Detective Rollan agreed and she even assigned each of us an officer at our doors too. We knew Maya was still in town because the police informed every station so if she ever tried to leave she would get caught.
Every time I think about that night, I can't hate it anymore. I try so hard, but despite all we went through the last time and this time, there's something that prevents me from hating it. Now every time I think of that place a smile forms on my lips because that's the place my first baby was born, how could I hate it?
"What are you thinking?" Dylan asked putting a fry in his mouth.
"I'm thinking about what the hell we did to deserve this?!" I said.
He wiped his hands then reached over to cup my cheeks. "We're not bad people, we didn't do anything, sometimes things just happen no one can understand. The worst can happen to the best people."
I smiled then turned my face and kissed his palm. Then resumed eating again. After we finished, Dylan got rid of the bags and there was a knock on the door.
"Hey." Alain's voice drove our eyes to him. He was standing at the doorway.
"Hey. Come here." I said opening up my arms. He walked to me and hugged me.
"How are you feeling? Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine, where's Ashley and Brenda?" I asked.
"Brenda's home with mom and Ashley's here checking on Chloe, apparently now she's more important than you." He laughed and so did we.
"Any news?" Dylan asked and Alain shook his head no.
"They'll find her don't worry." He said with a small smile, trying to me make me less worried.
I faked a smile, even though they both knew how fake it was. Nothing could make me not worried, specially now that we had no clue where that crazy twin was lurking at. All I want is my daughter's safety now before anything else. If she lays a finger on her, I'm ready to kill her with my own bare hands.
Jane's POV
"Jane, we need you in her, one of the patients refuse to take off his clothes." Gabbie, one of the other nurses came into my office complaining while trying to contain her laughter.
"I'll be right there." I said with a smile of my own, and letting out a small laugh not being able to control mine.
I came back to work even though the police said I should stay home. Katherine was already here and two officers were guarding her and Chloe. So if Maya tried to attack, it definitely wouldn't be here. The hospital is filled with people, security and now the police.
After taking care of the patient, I went back to my office and saw that a surprise was waiting for me.
"Mason." I said shocked. He was leaning on my desk crossing his arm and pinching his lips with the other. A habit he does when he's nervous.
