This is my favourite chapter so far I’m so proud of it.

And it may not be as weird as I promised but it still turned out amazing!

Is you okay? Is you? Because I wanted to know.

Jai’s POV

Vete a la mierda.” I spat at the guard staring at me from outside of my cell, his eyes growing wide at my sudden outburst. “What?” He said, making me roll my eyes. “Fuck you.” He made a sound of annoyance. “Yes I know you hate me but what did you say?!” I sat up on my bed, my eyes narrowing. “I’m sorry, but were you dropped as a baby, or were you born stupid?”

There was a low chuckle, the guard in front of me taking a shaky breath, before quickly making his way down the white corridor. A shadow appeared in the darkness, the person now stepping forward, my eyes widening in recognition. It was Doctor Mills, the man who first treated me. “Well you’ve aged well Robert.” I said, looking at his grey hair and eyes, hopeful he’d pick up on the sarcasm. He just smiled, me noticing something was not right about it at all. “As have you, you’d be a fine young man if it weren’t for your fucked up brain.”

I stood up instantly, confused as to why he was acting like this. Isn’t he meant to help people like me? “What do you want? To drug me, and then leave me until the next morning so I don’t bother you anymore.” He stepped closer to the window, me still standing my ground near my bed. “What I want is for you to do something for me.” I laughed, and then quickly realized he was being serious. “And what’s that?’ I asked slowly, quickly getting nervous.

“I need you to bring me Luke.” My heart quickened as soon as my brother’s name was mentioned. “Why? Why could you possibly want-“”He has something I need, but he doesn’t know it.” I stared at the older man in front of me, completely lost for words. “Are you kidding me? No!” His lips went into a straight line, he eyes filled with a burning anger. “Fine, but eventually you will,” He said, backing away, flicking a switch near the door. “You’ll have no choice otherwise.”

There was a sudden piercing sound, my hands shooting to my ears. This has happened before so I knew I just had to ignore it. But it got worse. There sound began to get agonizing, a purple kind of hazy smoke now filling the room. My eyes widened, and it was suddenly hard to breathe, my knees caving in below me. I panicked as the world around me fell black, the sound dying down, me trying to sit back up, but I was violently pushed back down.

I was about to call out when something was clamped around my mouth, me suddenly being dragged across the cold metal floor, my whole brain screaming at me. ‘What are you doing fight back!’ I began to struggle, kicking and wriggling around desperately, but it didn’t change anything. ‘What’s the point?’ Another said, before I felt a numbing pain in my head, before my world went black.

***

My eyes shot open, my whole body jerking up at the unfamiliar surroundings. I was sitting in a plain grey room, with nothing but a bench in the centre of the area. I tried to sit up but I was shoved back down, my brain now more alert than it has ever been before. I attempted to call out, but I couldn’t, it was like there was a huge lump in my throat. As much as I wanted to speak, I couldn’t.
