Alexander Grayson (2 months later)

I don’t know what’s up with Emeli but I'll find out.  Cassandra Alexandria’s mom keeps texting me, wanting to know when she can see her daughter she is not in a good place right now and I can’t handle her. [trinagle] I’m at the triangle it’s 12 am. I’m sitting picking apart the flower center pieces. “lover boy whatever girl has your mind in a puddle have a drink to get your mind off things” Billy said. “no I’m okay Billy” I said as I looked at my phone I keep waiting for her to text me or call me but she’s been doing a hell of a good job ignoring me. I see Renna I go up to her. “Renna” I said as I tap her on the shoulder as she’s setting up another table. “hey Alexander” she said.

“hey where is Emeli I know she hasn’t been working lately ” I said. “oh every year for thanksgiving she goes with Marko and his family to Venezuela, that’s were his family is from” Renna said. “oh okay” I said about to turn around to walk away. “don’t worry Alex, she’s fine” she said. “I know you catching feelings” she said as she walked away.

I go to the back office pick up the iPad to see how much money the club part of the triangle made tonight at the bar. Only 3,000 dollars. Emeli has been off work for the last month and a half. When she works the bar we come in the at least 10,000 dollars on a slow night too. For the rest of the night I’m in the office studying for a test after break. I fly out to my mothers condo in Texas [my condo 3:33am] I’m lying in my bed  I hear a knock on my door. Who the heck is at my door at this time. I get up out of my bed and go answer the door.

“ it’s really hard to track you down but anyway seriously so I was thinking, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking trying to figure things out and I’m sorry for freaking out on you and I’m not good at making friends I’m crazy, outgoing , but I’m also scared and damaged and frankly I’m really not a good person I can’t make friends my only friend is Renna”  Emeli said. “what’s wrong with you, you seem shaken up” I said. she looks to her left. “I just spent four hours arguing and then 9 hours on a plane thinking of how to explain myself to you because sending a text didn’t seem to fit this situation” she said.

“where are the girls” I asked? “with Marko” she said. I just looked at her she looks really, really sad. “are you going to respond to anything I just said” she questioned. “what happened” I asked? “nothing” she said, I can tell she’s lying. When she lies she moves a lot. “cutie you look like your about to cry what happened, you just said you were arguing for four hours about what” I asked? “can I come in” she asked? “does that mean you’ll be my friend again” I asked? “sure if you can still be mine” she said. “I’ve always been your friend” I said then I let her in. we are set up in the living room. “so what happened” I asked? “Marko is controlling everything and he gets so mad and blacks out and says things and dos things that I hope he doesn’t mean, I can’t take it and now he keeps pushing me to marry him and a Gonzalez always gets their way” I said.

“don’t marry him don’t be with him and I’m not just saying that because I like you but you need to be happy, you guys have kids together that’s great  they live in a perfect bubble that’s great however bubbles pop. And when people black out Emeli they say what they really mean and do what they mean” I said. she started crying I am not sure what I should do but when my daughter Alexandria cries about missing her mom I just hold her.

I take a deep breathe “come here” I said as I make room for her. She just sitting in the opposite chair. “come on I got you” I said she still just sat their all I could think of is our little game we do of truth or dare. “Emeli I dare you to just trust me, come here” I said. she didn’t budge. I get up and pick her up out of the chair and go back to the sofa and hold her. “I want to help you, let me help you, and in return you can help me we are both confused” I said.   I just held her, when I woke up the next morning she still in my arms actually holding tight on to my gray hoodie.
