I get a phone call from the triangle that Emeli is wasted and I need to pick her up. “where is she john” I said. “over there, she’s been drinking non-stop for the past 4 hours” he said. “alright thank you for calling me” I said then walked over to her. She was sitting in the corner at a little table area. When I sat down and my eyes met with her I see pure sadness, really heartbreaking sadness, her eyes are red she had been crying for a long time. “babe what’s wrong” I asked?  She didn’t answer me,“ Emeli” I said.

“I love you so much you know that right” she said. “yes I love you too” he said. she covered her face with her hands  to catch herself. “and I love Lexi too” she added. I’m worried now. “Emeli just tell me what’s going on” he said. “I’m leaving you” she said shrugging her shoulders.  That caught me off guard not even a month married “what the hell did you just say” I said. “I’m moving in with Marko, actually as we are speaking his men are moving me stuff out the house, I’m so, so sorry you have no idea how much this is killing me and I know you don’t understand but I’m reall-” , “no, your right I don’t understand help me understand” Emeli I said raising my voice. “shhh don’t get loud please” she said she looks so scared and shy.

 “I can’t tell you why I need you to know that I love you” she said. “hell no we just got married” I whispered. “you can get it annulled, because I’m not a good wife and it would seem literally like it never happened, like we never happened” she said crying. “what kind of bullshit is he putting in your head, we are not getting an annulment trust me, no I married you because I love you, I want to be with you. I want to wake up and see your face in the morning I want to have kids with you and make sure that you are happy I want to be your happiness because you are my happiness and if you leave here without me, you will take that away Emeli” I said wiping my tears.

“I fight for you, I love your girls like they are mine, you freakin are legally Lexi’s mom Emeli please”  I said. “you won’t understand why I have to do this, I hope in time, maybe in years you will but I have to go and I love Lexi tell her anytime and I mean anytime day or night rain or shine if she needs me I'll be their but I do love you and I’m glad you fight please keep fighting” she said.

 I shake my head no, “no, no you leave you have no access to Lexi and I’m going to stop fighting you know something Emeli I believed in you I believe in you, but the sad thing is your to blind and stupid to believe in yourself. You know the reason why your not a singer it’s not because your parents mapped out your life it’s because your to stuck in being controlled you have to please everyone that how your relationship with Marko is please him you know what I’m done” I said. “I'll be out the house by the morning” I said.  I really just wanted to leave her their but because of how drunk she is I do take her home with me and put her in our bed, keep a trash can by the bed, a bottle of water then I sleep in the guest bedroom. I feel like we are truly over.

I wake up the next morning with a massive headache and my stomach is killing me. I am late, I only get my period twice a year and it’s the second time and I didn’t get it. I feel sick to my bones, I run to the bathroom and throw up.  I feel like I just ruined him. Cassandra ruined him but I think I presently ruined him. I get up out the bathroom and go to the kitchen. He’s gone. I called Rena last night. She said she’s coming over soon. Marko is such a pimp, that’s what he is. I sit in the living room drinking my sadness away.

Around three Renna came over. My stomach is killing me like really, really bad. “baby girl” Renna said. “why” she asked? “he will hurt Lexi I can’t let that happen and if I tell Alex he will still do it” I said. “he’s crazy” she said. “I know” I said wiping my tears. “and the thing is” I said. “the thing is that Alex and I were going to tell people this new years eve that we are married” I said.
