 I  hear alexander talking to someone I go in the hall and go into the living room and listen. “Alex I apologized so many times when will you stop using my problem against me” Cassandra said. “never” Alexander said. “Alexander I’ve gotten better” she said. “how many times have I heard that one, I know you Cassandra I paid for you to go to rehab you left the next week, I paid for you to go to Harvard you dropped out you’re a lost cause” he said.

 “Alex I’m better I went to rehab I got the medal and everything I got better I am better I’m sorry that I did drugs when I was pregnant that I sold Lexi to get a fix I’m sorry I slept with that Marko guy your family has a problem with I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry how many times do I have to say it, I don’t want anything from you I just want to see my daughter be apart of her life” she said she was begging him.

“Cassandra, you’ll come in her life and leave you’ve proven that” he said. “you know you make me feel real bad about myself you do but lets not forget who made me this way who said hey baby this is my life take it or leave it, or this is a goodone just try it once be spontaneous Cassandra your too uptight I got you I'll take care of you. My favorite one your my girl you’re not going to get addicted I just think you will love this experience, well I odiously loved it I was addicted to it, it ruined me you ruined me so the least you can do is let me see her for five minutes.” She said I walk out from the living room I can tell there is tension.

 “um Cassandra right come in” I said as I pushed Alexander out the way. “can you give us a second” I said to her then pulled Alexander into the other room. “can I talk to her” I asked? “no” he said. as he looked away from me. “alexander” I said. “I know this isn’t my place just let me help that’s all I want to do” I said.  as I moved his face for him to look at me. “I got you cutie” I said as I smiled. Then walked out the room. “Cassandra right” I asked? “yes” she said. “I’m alexander’s friend” I said. “yeah” she said. “um can you please come back in the morning I promise he’ll hear you out” I said.

“okay” she said. then left that girl slept with Marko. I walk back to the room alexander is crying. “she’s the one who you  ruined” I said as I sat next to him on the floor. “she’s coming back tomorrow” I said. “alexander talk to me” I said. “i ruined her she was so smart Emeli so smart going to Harvard until she got addicted to drugs all because of me I pushed her and pushed her” he said. “is she the reason you want nothing to do with the family business” I asked? “yes” he said. “Alexander look at me” I said. “what” he said. “you’re a good person” I said. he just looked at me. “you’re a good person” I said. then out of no where he kissed me. “it’s not good to do stuff like that out emotions” I said. “shut up” he said softly then picked me up and carried me to the bed.  That was that he took charge.  I woke up the next morning thinking what the heck did I let happen last night.  I got up out the bed. I get dressed for Cassandra coming over I’m going to have to be the mediator. Put on white shorts and a red tube top and a black cardigan. “so you should come with me to my parents house tomorrow and celebrate thanksgiving” he said.  I dropped my phone.

 ”I'll think about it” I said. then he walks towards me and grabs me and kisses me. “why don’t you singing for a living” he asked? “truth my mother wanted to be a singer it didn’t work out my parents kind of banned entertainment jobs  and no singing in the house” I said. “so what your different and you got pipes” he said. “awh your sweet” I said then gave him a kiss. then the doorbell  rang. “you have to have an opened mind” I said. then went and answered the door.

 “ hello” I said. then we walked to the living room. “resume from last night” I said. “I just want to see my daughter I messed up and every little girl should have their mother in their life” Cassandra said. “ I can’t have you disappoint her she’s older now she’ll remember” alexander said. “Alex listen I’m her mother I’m not asking for custody” she said. “because you know they’ll find you as an inadequate mother” he said. “forget us forget what you think of me and thing of Alexandria” she said. this is so weird. “why doesn’t Cassandra go with you to thanksgiving dinner” I said. he just looked at me.
