It's been a few days since I've been in the hospital and my friends have been visiting me everyday. I'm glad they didn't get mad at me when I finally told them about Auska.
Instead of leaving me, like I thought they would, they embraced me. I swear, I've never cried as much as I did that day. And, for once, it wasn't out of fear or sadness.
I cried because I was happy.
"Hey, Alex. How are you feeling today?"
I snap out of my thoughts and turn my head towards the door. I smile brightly when I see Nowaki standing there. He smiles back at me.
"Hi, Nowaki! I'm a little sore here and there, but other than that, I feel wonderful!" I close my eyes and beam.
"That's great, Alex! I just came by to tell you something." He walks closer to me and sits at the edge of my bed. I raise an eyebrow at him.
"And what would that be?"
He gives me a soft smile.
"Auska has been arrested and you are officially divorced." He says. I blink a few times, my eyes huge.
"R-really?" I whisper. Nowaki nods and puts his hand on my shoulder. I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
"Are you okay?"
I exhale and nod my head. When I open my eyes, they start to fill with tears. Nowaki instantly hugs me.
"What's wrong?" He asks softly. I sniffle and let out a small laugh.
"I'm just....so relieved. I'm finally free. After all this time, I'm free."
I straighten up and wipe my tears, a smile now on my face. Nowaki smiles back at me, then gets up.
"By the way, Mino and Yamato are here to see you. Do you want me to send them in?"
I nod my head excitedly and bounce on the hospital bed, like a little kid.
"YES PLEASE!" I say loudly. Nowaki chuckles and leaves the room.
Not two minutes later, the door opens again and I get tackled in a hug by Yamato.
"Hi, Alex." His soft voices says to me. I look down at him and give him a soft smile.
"Hi, Yamato." I say, ruffling his hair. He smiles up at me and hugs me tighter.
I hear someone clear their throats and I look up. I smile again when I see Mino, his hands behind his back. His usual smile is back on his face and he walks over to me, sitting down on the bed.
"How do you feel?" He asks me.
"I'm feeling much better now, thank you."
He nods his head. We sit there in an awkward silence, then Yamato gets up. He looks at Mino.
"Can I ask her now, dad?" Mino nods his head.
"Go ahead."
I look between them two, confused. Ask me what? Mino takes his hands from behind his back, his hands holding twelve red roses. One of them being fake. He hands them to Yamato, who holds them out to me.
"Alex, can you stay with us?" He asks. My eyes widen.
"What do you mean?" He sits back down next to me, still holding out the flowers.
"I mean: will you live with us?"
My heart starts beating faster and I look between Mino and Yamato. I hesitantly take the flowers and look down.
"Why?" I ask. Mino puts his hand on mine and squeezes.
"Because we love you, Alex. We want to be there for you, always." He moves the hair out of my eyes and smiles at me.
Yamato puts his head on my arm. I look down at him, then back up at Mino.
A slow smile spreads across my face. I slowly push them off of me. They look at me, confused.
"Alex?" Mino asks. I look at him, then look back down at the flowers. I set them down on the floor beside the bed and then sit up. Mino puts his hand on my arm.
"You don't have to say yes-"
I cut him off by pulling them both to me. I wrap my arms around them in a tight hug. They seem surprised at first, but then hug me back just as tight. I snuggle my face into Mino's chest and hold Yamato in my arms.
"Yes. Yes, I will live you guys. I love you guys, too..." I whisper into his shirt.
"I'm glad." Mino says and hugs both me and Yamato tighter. We snuggle into him. Just like a little family.

"Come on, Alex! Come on!" Yamato yells. He grabs my arm and pulls me out of the car. I laugh and try to keep up with him.
"Okay, Yamato. Slow down! The house isn't going anywhere." I say to him. He stops pulling me once we get to the door.
Nowaki let me out of the Hospital today after Mino and Yamato asked me to stay with them yesterday. Yamato was so excited to have me live with him and his dad. He's really grown on me.
I feel two strong arms wrap around my waist and pick me up. I squeal when I feel myself being thrown over a shoulder. I laugh and playfully punch Mino's back.
"Put me down, yah big flirt!" I laugh. I hear Yamato laugh and Mino chuckle.
"Nah, I think you should stay up here." He says. Wiggle around a bit.
"Noooooo! Yamato! Help meee." I whine. Yamato laughs again and I turn my head to see him shaking his head. He puts his hands up and walks backwards.
"Sorry, Alex. You're on your own." He says. My eyes widen and I pout playfully.
"Traitor!!!!!" I yell. Mino and Yamato laugh at me. I start to laugh too.
"Now then. Let's get you settled into your new home, Alex!" Mino gestures for Yamato to open the door.
He opens it wide and Mino starts walking, with me still on his shoulders. I giggle.
"I can walk, Mino." I say. I feel him shrug.
"I know. But, I like to carry the queen." I blush and playfully smack his shoulder.
"Put me dowwwwn!" I whine. He chuckles and continues to walk into the house, ignoring my childishness. I shake my head and smile, letting him carry.
Today marks my new year and my new life.
