Right Through Me

Love and Marriage

               I am woken up by the sound of laughter. I slightly smile, but keep my eyes closed. I don't wanna face the harsh reality yet.

   But, sadly, the world seems to be against me at the moment because I suddenly get tackled by two small bodies. I squeeze my eyes shut and put my face into my pillow, ignoring the two little monsters on me.

     "Alex! Wake up!" I hear a girly voice yell. I ignore it.

   "Come on, mom. You have to get ready." Another voice says. I feel a hand shake my shoulder. I groan and roll onto my side, grabbing the two little monsters along the way. They gasp, then laugh as I trap them in a hug.

    "Five.....no, ten more minutes...." I say, my eyes still closed. I hear Hiyori giggle and Yamato sigh as he starts to poke my cheek.

   "Mom. You have to get ready for your wedding!" Yamato says. I laugh and sit up, letting them go.

   "Alright, alright. I'm up." I say. I stretch one arm out and rub my eyes with the other. I feel Hiyori's small hands start to push on my back as Yamato pulls on my hand, making me get out of bed.

    "Come on, Alex! Yokozawa-Oniichan is waiting to help you get ready! And we have a special surprise waiting!" She yells. Yamato nods his head and smiles up at me.

"Yeah, you're going to love it." He says. I laugh as they continue to push me towards the bathroom.

"Okay! I'm going to get ready!" I grab my silk bath robe and slippers and head towards the bathroom.

"I'll meet you guys downstairs in 30 minutes." I say as I close the door. I hear them say 'okay' and then the click of the bedroom door being closed.

I smile to myself and lean my back against the door. I'm getting married! To Mino!

I giggle and stop leaning on the door. I don't want to be late for my wedding.

        When I finally make it downstairs, I find Yokozawa, Hiyori and Yamato in the living room. They stopped talking when they saw me. I raise an eyebrow at them as they look at me with smiles on their faces. I cross my arms.

     "So, what's this 'surprise' they keep talking about?" I ask Yokozawa. He just shrugs his shoulders while Yamato and Hiyori laugh.

   Before I can ask them again, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I yelp and turn around. My eyes widen when I see who's behind me.

    "Dad!" I squeal. He laughs and holds his arms out.

    "Hello, Alex." He says. I smile and wrap my arms around his middle as he pats my back.

    "I missed you, dad!" I smile up at him and he pats my head.

   "I missed you too." He pulls away and raises an eyebrow at me.

   "So, I hear my daughter is getting married again, hmm?" He says teasingly. I nod my head and motion for Yamato to come closer. When he does, I look up at my father.
