7 months later

"This can hardly be called a problem. We can just cut their 25% off and it's done." Keith argued looking at his partner.

"Mr. Ortiz, if I may speak to you about your decision." Keith said nothing in reply as he handed his partner the project file, giving him time to read it before speaking again.

"The decision has already been made Mr. Ricardo, there is nothing to discuss. You either take it or leave it."  His partner nodded with a grim face and shook his hands with Keith.

"Mr. Ortiz...You can have the deal." Keith smiled smugly having the biggest deal for his company. Dad would be proud, he thought while smiling.

Someone knocked politely on the door and as it is opened by his assistant revealing his messenger.

"Sir." He addressed Keith politely. He nods back in response before stepping to the side and motioning for him to enter.

Keith turned back to his partner. "Mr. Ricardo, we will inform you about the next meeting. Have a nice holiday."

"Likewise." His partner nodded and walked out with his men. Then Keith asked his messenger why he was here.

"Sir, you have an invitation card and it's ordered especially to give you in hand." Keith raised an eyebrow and took the card in his hands.  Reading the name on front his smile went big.

Finally.

"I didn't know you like art that much." A voice asked from behind Keith. It was a drawing of a flying Angel. Without turning his face lightened.

"What can I say? It's reminding me of someone who's very dear to me." He spoke turning back. In mid turn, his breath froze. It was like the same rush seeing the red hair wildly around her and her green eyes in a new edition of glasses.

Fiona Myer...His Angel.

"It's good to see you again." She said smiling but before Keith could say anything she brought her hands to each side of his face and kissed him hard.

Fiona broke the kiss off and said, "I'm ready."

Keith knew what it meant and couldn't be happier. When he got the invitation card a few weeks ago for her gallery opening he knew she was somewhat ready. After her departure seven months ago, she never called him. He was this close to call her or find where she is but every time her pleading face to let her go stopped him.

And now they both were ready.

But before he can say anything someone yelled for the countdown to start and enter the New Year.

"Hey, the countdown will be starting." Keith nudged Fiona who nodded and joined him to the big balcony outside. Guests were also standing with their dates waiting for the countdown.

"You know, I have a surprise for you." Keith whispered.

"Really?" She asked smiling. "Hmm." Keith nodded and pointed at the mass of people. Fiona lined her eyes at his pointed hand and gasped.

"Is that Nathan?" She asked with surprise. Nathan also looked at her at the same time and pushed his Wineglass to her way in cheer.

They all gathered together, as Keith stood with Fiona with one arm wrapped around her waist. Once it got to 5 seconds, they all began to countdown.

"5!"

Keith looked at Fiona.

"4!"

Fiona turned around.

"3!"

Keith took a step towards her.

"2!"

Fiona smiled with happiness.

"1!"

"Happy New Year!" They all shouted together.

Keith spun her around and leaned Fiona back before he pressed his lips firmly against her.

"Happy New Year." He murmured before kissing her again.

Fiona grinned wrapping her arms around his neck and spoke slowly, "I still love you."

Keith grinned back, "I love you too, Fiona."

"Uh, Nah." She smirked playfully. "Say, I love you too...Angel. I prefer that name over mine."

"I love you too...Angel." He said with a teary face.

When Keith looked up instead of Fiona or the crowds he found himself in his house in front of an awestruck Angel.

"Papa, are you crying?" His daughter spoke with big eyes. Keith quickly wiped his eyes brushing off the remaining tears and smiled up to Angel.

"No, baby. I was just..." He trailed off not knowing what to say. Angel wiped his eyes in her small hands and wrapped him in a big hug.

"Don't worry, papa. I'm here."

In that moment Keith knew Fiona was there with them. She may have died giving birth to their Angel, but she'll be always there for him in form of Angel.

To care and love.

After all, that's what Angel's do.

The End

The ending might have a little strange but I'd wanted this book's ending a little different. So here it is the valentine day's special short story I promised. Enjoy and comment.
