You played with your food, feeling a bit lonely. Ah yes, the lonely life of a college dropout. Everyone was out building a life for themselves and here you were, sitting alone in the back of a pub. You couldn't help but look back at the blue headed man. He looked eerily familiar. The situation was quite awkward, him being a stranger and all. You both locked gazes again, he smiled shyly, you smiled back. He waved, clumsily bumping his head. You couldn't help but laugh. The room went quiet and you covered your mouth quickly. A grin spread across the blue headed man's face that he couldn't hide.

You finally finished your meal. You payed your bill and headed out, looking back at the blue headed man. The others seemed to have vanished. Did he sit there and wait for you to leave? That left you paranoid. You quickly stepped out and pulled out your umbrella. You turned around from a light tap on your shoulder. It was him, the blue headed man.

"'Ello!" He smiled brightly.

You backed up, gasping in shock. He backed up also, getting startled from your reaction.

"I-I'm 2-D." He reached his hand out to you.

"I'm (Y/n)." You shook his hand hesitantly.

"I like yewr-" he paused mid-sentence.

He froze, pulling his hand away from you.

"You like my..?" You trailed off, standing awkwardly in the rain with this random man.

"Uh.." He looked around, you couldn't tell if it was rain or sweat dripping from his temples.

He looked adorably clueless, it was entertaining to say the least.

"I actually have to get going.." You explained, starting to walk away.

2-D squeaked, grabbing your wrist gently.

"C-Can I walk wif yew?"

You nodded slowly, offering him to stand under your umbrella instead of getting drenched in the rain.

"You look familiar, do I know you from somewhere?"

You both began to walk under the umbrella, starting conversation.

"Well, I'm part of this band, uh, Gorillaz." He mumbled, looking down at his wet shoes.

"Oh! That's why you're so familiar." You exclaimed.

He smiled, scratching the back of his neck.

"Wha's yewr favorite album?"

"Well, when I first listened to Gorillaz I hated it." You laughed, remembering the memory all too well.

2-D froze, frowning. "D-Do yew still 'ate us?"

You shook your head, you actually enjoyed their music a lot now. You both continued to walk in silence.

"So uh, 'oo's yewr favorite memba'?" He mumbled.

You laughed, looking at his flushed face.

"You of course, oh and Russel. That guy needs some more love."

2-D's POV:

She likes me. She really likes me! And Russ too. Im glad I could actually talk to her, Russel said it was obvious I was staring at her. He said I should wait until she left so I didn't disturb her, and now we're actually talking! She's so pretty. Funny too. A lot of girls are but she's special. I don't know what it is.

"It was great talking to you 2-D, but I'm home.."

I looked at her apartment building then back at her.

"Oh uh well, fanks for the chat." I smiled, sadly waving goodbye.

I started to walk back to Kong, but she called my name. I turned around to see her handing me her umbrella.

"I don't want you getting sick." She smiled.

I could just hug her, no, I could just kiss her. I could just kiss her beautiful, lovely face.

"No I'm fine, I don't wan' t'take yewr umbrella, love."

She insisted, pushing it towards me gently.

"It's alright 2-D, I promise." She gave a reassuring smile, god I could live off that smile..

An idea popped into my head as I dug in my pocket for a pen. I handed it to her along with my hand.

"Gimme yewr numba' so I can call yew t'give it back."

She nodded, writing the number on my hand.

"Goodnight 2-D." She uttered before walking into her apartment.

"Goodnight (Y/n)." I whispered back, taking her umbrella to walk home.
