2-D's POV:

I woke up feeling quite chipper. I couldn't explain it.

Was it because of the upcoming movie night? Maybe because I get to spend time with (Y/n)? Oh, and Russ. Can't forget about Russ...

I hopped out of bed, ignoring that I was only in my boxers. It's not like anyone's going to see me. But I did lock the door, just to make sure. I ran over to my film collection, searching through movies for the perfect one.

"Perfect!" I squealed aloud, holding The Brood firmly in my hands.

I set it down, picking out an outfit for today. Something comfortable would do. I slipped on my jeans and shirt, tripping only once or twice. I unlocked the door and walked out to the family room to meet up with (Y/n). These past weeks that she's been staying with us, I've been letting her borrow my clothing. Maybe if she stays I could get her own instead of me hand-me-downs.

(Y/n) was snoring softly on the couch, she hugged a pillow that covered her beautiful face. I decided not to wake her and sat on Murdoc's lounge chair. I turned on the television, making sure it wasn't loud enough to wake up (Y/n). I sat back and flipped through channels.

"2-D?" A faint voice called out.

I turned my head to the side. (Y/n) sat up, stretching out her arms. I got up and walked over to her with a big smile on my face.

"Yew know yew can just call me Stu, love. Or Stuart, whichever yew prefer."

She nodded, still making sleepy little noises that were adorable. I bent down next to her, holding her soft hands in mine. It was nerve wracking but just felt right.

"Ready fo' movie nigh'? I've already planned everyfing!"

She went quiet, looking away from me. She looked upset.

"About that.."

I went quiet too, dropping her hands. Did she not want to be around me? Did I do something wrong? She sighed, looking at the sad expression on my face.

"I-I can't wait..." She smiled, but I knew it was fake.

She got up from the couch, she looked better in my clothing than I did. She gestured me towards the kitchen, she was probably hungry. We walked in, both of us startled by Murdoc and Russel who sat on opposite ends of the kitchen table. Russel looked tense, I could tell by his body language. He seemed to calm down once he saw (Y/n). Murdoc looked even angrier when his gaze was set on me.

"Sorry Russ, we'll 'ave t'continue this conversation another time." Murdoc got up from his chair and waltzed out of the kitchen.

(Y/n) turned to Russel, she had already made her way to the fridge.

"What was that all about?" She asked, searching around the fridge for something that wasn't expired.

Russel sighed, holding his head. Lately he's been asking me for painkillers. I always tell him when he's had too many, but he doesn't listen...

"Nothing, Murdoc's just being a dick." He muttered, shaking his head with sorrow.

I sat down where Murdoc had been, watching (Y/n) pace around the kitchen. She sat down beside us, taking a bite of what I assumed to be an apple.

"Oh Russel, I'm sorry.." She placed a hand on his shoulder.

He pushed her hand away from him softly.

"I need to leave this place. It's not doing me any better than New York. This place, it's just filled with death and hate. I can't stand it." He gripped the sides of his head, rocking back and forth slightly.

(Y/n) and I looked at each other, frowning.

"It's okay if yew don't want t'come watch the movie wif us tonigh'.."

Russel gave an aggravated sigh, he stood up suddenly. (Y/n) and I backed away from him.

"That's not the point, 'D! Murdoc is the one keeping us insane, it's his twisted game!"

Normal POV:

Russel sounded so tired and frustrated, you really felt bad for him. 2-D looked concerned, you both were.

"I have ears you know!" Murdoc shouted from upstairs.

Russel's face scrunched in anger, his fists tightened.

"Well why don't you come down here and listen, dick-twitch?"

You and 2-D froze when you both heard Murdoc stomp down the stairs and storm into the kitchen. He went face to face with Russel who was one or two feet taller than him.

"So, what is it?" Murdoc growled.

The two men seemed to go at it, throwing insults and profanity back and forth between each other. Murdoc finally smacked Russel. The smack of skin on skin sent a chill down your spine. Russel seemed to roar as he pushed Murdoc to the floor. They began to throw punches, Russel was winning, obviously. You and 2-D desperately tried to separate the two. You held Russel while Murdoc tried to beat 2-D's head in even more than it already was.

"Murdoc, stop being a fucking idiot!" You swore, throwing your apple cord at him to get him to shut up.

Russel looked at you, then Murdoc and 2-D.

"I quit." He stated blankly, walking up the stairs.

After a few minutes, Russel came back down with a suitcase.

He was really leaving...

Murdoc stood frozen in place as Russel said his goodbyes. Murdoc tightened his fists, his face was scrunched in anger.

"Fine, leave! You weren't any good anyway, leave everything behind! I made you who you are today, you're nothing without me."

Russel simply smiled at Murdoc's ranting. He waved to you and 2-D, finally looking free. He shut the door quietly behind him, leaving you all in shock and somehow relief that he could finally be free.
