2-D's POV:

I clung onto (Y/n) as the masked woman came closer to us. She dropped her gun, walking over the dead man to me and (Y/n). She was shorter than both of us, so she must have been younger. Somewhere in her late teens to early twenties..

Murdoc was still sitting in his chair, watching his robot drag that dead man out of the room. I turned back to the woman. (Y/n) and I looked down at her as she slowly removed her mask, just enough so we could see her lips.

"I'm here to take you home, (Y/n)."

That voice. It seemed so familiar, but I couldn't wrap my stupid head around it.

"N-Noodle?" (Y/n) stammered, reaching to squeeze my arm.

The woman nodded, her lips curving into a faint smile. I couldn't believe it was her, it really was Noodle. (Y/n) let go of me so I could wrap my arms around her. I embraced her tightly, I felt that if I let her go, she would leave again. (Y/n) joined the hug as we all quietly spoke of how much we missed each other. Once we broke apart, I noticed that Murdoc had left along with his robot.

"What do you mean 'take me home'?" (Y/n) questioned, reaching to take Noodle's mask off.

She slapped her hand away, pulling the mask back over her lips.

"You need to go home, it isn't safe here." Noodle uttered. "Russel is waiting for us outside, say your goodbyes, we need to go."

I froze, why did (Y/n) need to leave? Why can't I go with her?

"B-But.." I babbled, stopping when Noodle's finger met my lips.

"Say goodbye, 'D."

But I didn't want to say goodbye. And I should've, because it was too late. There was another boom from outside. Noodle shook her head and grabbed (Y/n)'s wrist firmly. They both ran out of the room, leaving me alone.

"Wait!" I cried, running after them.

I had followed them outside where there was a giant man in the water, throwing ships left and right. I met eyes with (Y/n) from across the beach. She reached towards me as the giant man grabbed her and Noodle. He opened his mouth as they jumped inside. I continued to cry out, screaming as they all swam away. I reached out, continuing to call out her name.

"Don't leave me, (Y/n)! Yew promised not t'leave me!"

Who knew that was the last I'd see of her? I didn't.
