Kaylee's POV

I woke up to the morning sunlight and something wrapped around my waist. It was an arm. It was Peter's, he was asleep right beside me. I was pissed and alarmed. How the hell did I get in his hut, more importantly how did I end up on his bed for crying out loud. I peered up at his face. He looked so innocent for someone so despicable. I realized, that he probably was still a kid by heart; if he had a heart. He probably was a troubled little boy, maybe he wasn't always evil. I shook the thought out of my head and kicked him as hard as I could, causing him to fall off the bed. I still had my clothes on so I know nothing happened. He fell with a loud thud to the ground. He groaned loudly from the impact. I glad to know I caused him pain. "What the hell was that for?" Peter retorted while getting up and rubbing his head. "Why am I in your hut??" I said while getting out of his bed. "I was lonely." Peter said with sad puppy eyes. "That's bullshit." I said as I made my way to the door. Before I could open the door knob, he stopped me by putting his hand on mine. I pulled my hand away from his touch. Peter paused for a moment. "What do you want?" I asked impatiently. "You of course." Peter said with lust in his eyes. I knew what I was seeing wasn't true because I could hear what he really thought. I rolled my eyes in response. "I wonder how many girls fell for that." I tell him. He looked hurt for a few seconds. This was my chance and made it out of his hut without a second thought. If I'm trapped here against my will, I'm not playing his games. Not yet at least.

I walked out to see the Lost Boys at work for the day. Everyone was too focused on what they were doing to see me walk out of Peter's hut. I spot Baelfire, the first of the Lost Boys to be nice to me. I went up to him to see that he was sharpening a spear. "Hello Baelfire. Do you guys have a place where you guys cook meals?" I asked. "Hey Kaylee. You mean a kitchen, ya it's over there." He said while pointing to a hut with an opening on the top of it that let out smoke. "Thanks." I said, then walked over to the hut. I walked in to see a fire with a pot boiling in the center of it, almost like a hearth. There were some ingredients I recognized and others I didn't on some shelves. I saw a bowl of fruit and grabbed a mango and a pear for later. I found a small dagger to cut a mango and apple. I cleaned the blade and made a strap to wrap around my leg to hold the blade. It might come in handy later. As I finished cutting my mango I heard someone walk into the hut. It was Chubs and Ace.

"Hey guys. Want some fruit?" I asked. "Yes please." They chimed. There was an empty table to our right so the two sat down and waited patiently at the table. I set the bowl of fruit down and Chubs grabbed a piece right away. Ace was still standing as I sat on a chair. "Ace what's wrong?" I asked. "Up." Was all he said. I picked him up and was about to set him down on a chair but he shook his head vigorously. I sighed and knew exactly what he wanted. I let him sit on my lap and handed him an apple slice. I watched them eat as I munched on a couple pieces of fruit myself. It was nice not being the youngest for once. It felt good to have someone to protect. "Why aren't you guys out and about?" I asked Chubs. "Ace is too young. It's my turn to watch him. Plus I'm the chef around here." Chubs said after finishing the bowl of fruit. "I see." I said as I looked down at Ace, who looked sleepy. "It looks like he needs a nap. I can take him of your hands if you tell me where his hut is." I said while carrying Ace in my arms. Chubs walked me over to were Ace and his brother Ted shared a hut. After Chubs showed me the way, he disappeared to go help the other boys hunt for dinner. I tucked Ace into his bed and pat his soft head. I was about to leave, but his small hand wrapped around my finger. I stayed beside him for a while until I could feel his grip loosen. I quietly made my way out of the hut, then Baelfire came up to me.

I walked with Baelfire along the beach. "What do you Lost Boys usually do?" I asked. "Hunt, play games, survive, and basically listen to Pan." Baelfire said as he picked up a shell and handed it to me. "Thank you." I said. There were some parts of Neverland that were breathtaking. Baelfire talked about how he came to Neverland. He didn't remember if he had a family or not but he remembered the times where he was an orphan, abandoned and alone. He told me that if it wasn't for Shadow, he would have died. He shared that even though he felt lost in Neverland, at least he wasn't alone anymore. We stood on the beach watching the sky change colors.
