Kaylee's POV

A few weeks had passed since the night Shadow told me that story. I was too surprised by his kiss on my forehead to react before he disappeared. I still remember the sensation I had felt that night, when his soft warm lips touched my skin. He held me for a moment then vanished into thin air. He hasn't appeared in front of me since. I get out of bed and was ready for the day. I've already adapted to life on Neverland, but there were times were life on Neverland was the same. I decided to go for a little walk since it was early in the morning. It was still dark outside and the camp was quiet for now so it was perfect. I got dressed and left my treehouse. I've been in Neverland for weeks now. I was proud that I haven't revealed anything that would convince Peter and the others that I also had powers on the island.

I never knew why I loved the ocean, I just did. It was all too mysterious and open. I walked along the beach alone and admired the sunrise. It was so Instagram worthy, if only I had my phone, but even then I doubt it would've worked. I thought it would be a good time to explore the island for a bit. I walked into the forest again and went north from the camp. I discovered a huge waterfall that had its own pool below. The sun shined perfectly on the water causing it to sparkle in appearance. Everything that I've discovered so far about Neverland was magical and surreal. It was almost too good to be true. It was too quiet. I felt someone's presence near me.

It was Felix. I climbed the closest tree I could reach and made my way up, but not to the very top, yet far enough from the ground not to be seen. Felix came out from the bushes below. I guess it was his turn to do rounds this week. I didn't want to be caught spying so I remained sitting on the branch that I was on and pretend that I was writing in my journal. I could tell that he knew he was not alone, but before I could even think if it was me or not he killed a rabbit below the tree I was in. He ripped the head off of the poor rabbit as though it was nothing. I could see the blood drip down his arm then to the ground. I looked away and went on pretending to write in my journal. Felix left without saying a word and disappeared into the bushes again. I was making my way down from the tree when Peter popped out of nowhere. I couldn't help but be surprise and suddenly lose my grip on the tree. I almost fell if it weren't for the asshole himself. He caught me just in time, before I hit the ground. I really hated when I'm the damsel. "Good Morning Beautiful." Peter said with a sly smirk. "Mind letting me go." I said nonchalantly. Surprisingly enough he didn't drop me, like a jerkwad would've. "What do you want Peter?" I asked. "Come back to camp and find out." He said as he flew away, probably back to camp. When I thought things were going my way, here comes Peter Pan to make my day a living hell.

I made my way back to camp. I took my time getting there and it didn't seem to phase Peter at all. 'Oh great.' I thought. I stood besides Chubs and Philip. I asked them what was going and all they said was, "Game day." I stood there super confused but got the idea of what was going on. Apparently we were going to play a series of games to see who would win best of all. The Lost Boys seemed very hyped for what was about to happen. We all would be competing against each other in archery, capture the flag, and 1 v 1 combat. When I think of archery I think of shooting targets. I was right about one thing. The Lost Boys had a different twist to archery that I found a bit concerning but I played anyway. The catch was that the target was an apple on top of our heads. Each and everyone one of us were Peter's pond. He chose who shot at who. It was crazy but interesting since the whole point of the game was to strike fear in the person who was being shot at. It had come to my turn to shoot at an apple target on someone's head. Pan looked at me then at the Lost Boys. "Felix." He said amused. He knew Felix and I didn't have the best relationship. I couldn't care less about who he choose because I was confident in my aim. I aimed low at first. I could see that Felix flinched a little, but was trying to hide it. I took aim and raised the crossbow at the last minute, making sure to hit the apple and nothing else. After it was my turn to be the target. Peter choose Chubs, I hid my smile when he chose Chubs. During my time in Neverland I learned not to underestimate Chubs. He was truly an excellent cook and one of the best hunters out of the Lost Boys. Chubs wouldn't admit it but he was good at what he did. I guess Pan thought otherwise since Chubs was small, but never judged a book by its cover. Nonetheless Chubs hit the apple without leaving a scratch on me. Peter looked a bit disappointed that I didn't flinch or even look scared. I guess my poker face really came in handy after high school.
