CHAPTER 6: Her

Yooooo It's your girl back with this cringey ass story. It's been awhile and I just felt like I should update today. I don't know when but I do want to edit chapters but at the same time I am super super lazy af. For those that know me, I know that I should have better writing at this age, but hey this is just for fun and this is me just creatively expressing my imaginations. I don't need you all to remind me that I need to work on English, I know that and I know my mistakes. Welp anyway here we go.

Shadow's POV

I was in a dark place again. All I could feel was anger and sorrow. I was alone. I could not stop the tears from falling down my face. I heard the same voices arguing back and forth. The noises were getting louder and the voices more vivid than before. I only felt agonizing pain in my mind which reached to my throat, clenching it tighter and tighter. I couldn't breathe, I was trying to gasp for air. It was as though I was being buried alive. I couldn't move my body at all, I was paralyzed. I was only hoping that this experience would end; that it was all just a bad dream.

I opened my eyes again. My surroundings changed. Everywhere I looked I was surrounded by an endless white space. Then I saw her. I saw her there sitting with me. She smiled as she moved her queen and said "Checkmate."

I woke up and fell to the side. I was in a tree and I fell face first on the ground. I got up and brushed the dirt and leaves off me. I was out for two days. I had never slept once in this life. I could only predict that the cause of this was from Kaylee's magic. Every since I met her, I've been having these strange memories and feelings. Her magic was growing stronger and it was causing my mind to slip into different parts of my past memories. It felt queasy and bizarre. I didn't know if I would experience more pain but I wasn't going to wait and find out. If anyone knew what was wrong with me it had to be the person herself with such power. She might not have the answers I want, but this all started because of her.

I knocked on Kaylee's door and there was no answer. I looked down to see that Kaylee was walking towards her tree house. I wondered where she'd been. She was smiling. "Hey Kaylee." I said to get her attention. "Hey Shadow, where have you been all day?" Kaylee asked me with concern. She opened the door to let me in and we went inside. She closed the door behind her and yawned while we sat on the couch. "If your tired I can come back." I said. "No it's fine, you tend to only meet me during the night. You seem to have something important on your mind." Kaylee said as she looked into my eyes. "What is it?" She asked. "Did you cast a spell on me?" I asked bluntly. "No, why would I do that?" Kaylee said. She seemed offended and hurt. "I'm sorry. This is all too strange for me. This never happened before." I tell her. "This is because of me isn't it." She asked. "No it's not your fault." I reassured her as I touched her hand. Her hands were cold, probably from being outside, yet soft. Her hands were smaller than mine. I couldn't help but intertwine my fingers with hers. "Being with you really throws me off." I mumbled to myself. "What did you say? Are you sure your alright?" Kaylee asked still with that caring demeanor. She was truly concerned about me and I could see it. I knew that if I was going to continue being with her, she would be the one that ends up the most hurt.

"I'm okay. I've just been having these very surreal visions. They started when we first met. That's why I thought the reason behind them were because of you. They have been getting more real. My thoughts were that your powers are becoming stronger." I concluded. Kaylee contemplate my explanation. "I don't think it's because of me. I think something or some feeling is triggering these visions for you." Kaylee said. "Maybe, but I don't know." I said. "Well I'm open if you want to talk more about it. Sometimes that can make things better." Kaylee offered. "Thanks." I said as she gave me a hug. "Of course. You know that I love you like a brother." Kaylee said. I felt a huge sting with her words.
