Alright, so we're starting the book off with the normal stuff, the proxies. So yay! Anyway, i hope you're all enjoying the story so far, leave a vote to give me motivation, please and thank you.
You were an adventurous child, always wondering away or lost in your own world, so it was no wonder when a simple ray of sunlight caught your attention and you went on one of your explorations into the mythical world in the woods. The forest instantly became one of your favorite places with its leaf-laden trees, talkative animals all hidden in the cover of the foliage, and the beautiful patterns the sunlight weaved like an expert seamstress through the ensnaring branches of the towering trees. Along with its natural beauty, the forest contained so many possibilities for adventure and fun, an out let for your creativity.
Lost in your own world again, you failed to notice the gaunt figure that blended in with the trees, his proper black suit and paper colored skin the only things that made him different from the plant life that stood at his height. The creature lacked any facial features, but he made up for it with spindly limbs and wriggling tendrils the same color as his shirt, to anyone else he would've been considered nightmare fuel, but you didn't even care if he really was there. You giggled at one of your own personal jokes as you gallivanted around like a deer in the spring, tossing leaves above your head like confetti, a permanent smile on your face while you traced images in the claw-like branches above your head.
In all too short of a time, the sun began to doze, and your exhaustion soon caught up with you after your games. The lanky creature had remained watch over you, a twisted guardian angel who lost his wings. As the beckoning shadows of night stretched across the leaf strewn forest floor, your (e/c) eyes scanned your surroundings, looking for a way home, but you were too deep in the woods. Panic instantly filled your body, making every muscle tense and tears stream down your face, before long you were on the ground crying loudly to no one. hopelessly lost.
Your wails of sorrow were interrupted when you were hoisted into the air by a snake like tendril from the slender figures back. For a moment, the sorrow that had filled your heart was taken over by confusion and shock. Standing in front of you was a tall, inhuman creature of pale white skin and a featureless face, that is, until it opened its mouth.
With the stomach churning sound of tearing flesh and painful pops, the monstrous spirit tore his face open to resemble a tattered smile with large, T-rex fangs poking out, a hint of what was going to be tearing into you. Fear returned with a vengeance and your stomach fell victim to gravity and poured out of your open mouth, stopping a shriek. You kicked and struggled for as long as you could until your tiny limbs finally gave out, you gave up and accepted your inevitable fate.
Suddenly, something had changed in your terrifying captor, his mouth seemed to heal over in record breaking time and he set you down gently upon the ground, you stared up at him, your (h/l), (h/c) hair a rats nest and your (e/c) eyes wide with tension and a disturbing wonder. Carefully, one of the monsters clawed hands reached into his pocket and gently tugged a violet bunny that was slightly sun-bleached with two droopy ears and a scarlet bowtie from his pocket, offering it to you slowly. Attentively, you accepted the soft bunny from the monster and stared in awe at its two black button eyes, while you were ensnared in the adorable toys spell, the creature took hold of your hand, his cold skin making you jump, but he seemed so gentle that you didn't pull away. Slowly, the towering man led you out of the woods and towards your house, the bunny's worn arm clasped in your hand as you went. Something seemed appeasing and you found the walk with him kind of fun, even if it was surprisingly late at night.
The next morning your parents questioned where you had gotten the velveteen rabbit, but you refused to tell, so they were left to assume a friend gave you the purple toy. From then on you would explore the maze of trees, your new bunny dragging through the rotten leaves in tow, in search of the walking tree with the gnarled limbs and spiffy suit. You had a system with him, he would hide from you, and when you found him, he would turn around and you would hide, a game of simple hide and seek.
Woo! This one has a cameo, so if you found it, comment who it is in the comments, i might be doing this for the rest of the stories for a while, so have fun with it! Peace!
