Your POV

I thought I was hallucinating, but here I am watching Vince threatening one of his friends just because he was disrespecting Camila and I.

"I don't ever want you to talk about Camila and Y/N like that ever again! You hear me!?" Vince grabbed the guy's shirt collar pulling him closer to him.

"I said, do you hear me?" He snarled.

His friend shook his head yes and in an instant Vince's facial expression relaxed with a small smile taking over his face. He let him go and told him 'good talk' before his friend ran off. I quickly walked up to him wanting to know why the hell was he standing up for Camila and I.

"Vince? Why?" That's all I could say after I tapped his shoulder asking for attention.

He furrowed his eyebrows at me immediately telling me he was confused.

"Why'd you stick up for Camila and I?" I finally asked.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, "Y/N, let me be real for a moment here, I've never liked Camila," he nonchalantly answered making me gasp.

He answered my question before I could even ask it, "I only ever wanted to claim her is because I wanted to finally beat Austin at something. Austin's always putting me down and making fun of me for being the black sheep in our friendship group, he always shoves it in my face that he always wins, so I thought if I had won Camila before him, I would finally be able to shove it in his face and let him feel what I've been feeling these past few years," he was sincere.

At this very moment I felt genuinely sorry for Vince, no one ever deserves to feel like they're not good enough.

"You need new friends, Austin's a fake bitch. You need friends to support you and friends who will be there for you," I lowkey described Michael and Calum.

"Thanks man," he gave me a smile.

"The fact that you were only chasing Camila to beat Austin at something was low, don't you ever do that to a girl ever again, okay?" I sternly said while staring him down.

He gulped and nodded his head rapidly fast, "yes, of course."

I smirked feeling satisfied with myself and thanked him before walking off to the cafeteria. I spotted our regular table and made my way there.

"Hey guys," I announced my appearance.

A bunch of hey's and hi's were thrown my way as I took my seat in between Camila and Normani.

"Why were you late?" Camila asked.

"You wouldn't believe it, but I actually witnessed Vince standing up for us," I spoke in amazement.

Camila's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, "no way!"

I nodded my head yes with a face-eating smile to express my happiness and shock at the same time.

"That's amazing," I saw a glint of pure joy in her eyes.

I then told her what Vince told me about him not even liking her and that he just wanted to finally beat Austin at something.

"Okay, I understand what he was trying to accomplish, but he had no right to try and play me like that," she scoffed rolling her eyes.

I chuckled at her reaction and wrapped my arms securely around her waist.

"What are you doing tonight?" Camila asked as she nestled her head on my shoulder.

"I don't know, basketball season is over so I don't have a game tonight, Mikey and Cal will most likely go partying and I'll probably be chilling at home re-watching Teen Wolf or something," I shrugged.
