For naught a night hath past

Since me beauty left me isle

And swam out to the next

She took me clothing and me rum

Left me bare an sober

Took me dagger and me gun

And when I thought 'twas over

That old lass returned to me

Crashing down me door

Wailing that she ain't through yet

"Ye're deserving more," she said

She took me by the collar and

Shook me till I's blue

And that's the last I heard from her

The ghost of Mary Lou
