Born 'twas a wench
And from the sea
A mage, a sorceress
She'd be
Of the ocean
Briny tide
Eyes of citrine
Young and spry
Daughter of the goddess and
The pirate, aye; he did descend
Gone was he amidst the sea
Yearning for his wife-to-be
From the depths
The child came
Pockmarked skin
And seaweed mane
Dreaming of the life she'd have
Goddess of the seas and sands
Spawn of two whose lives had met
Their match, and at such tragic end
Fate it be; aye, destiny
True love, until their graves
Davy and Calypso
Beneath the frothing waves
