Sorry this chapter is coming so late! I was super busy with schoolwork and a competition that I'm a part of. I hope you enjoy!

"Hailey I want the truth. Your my best friend and I don't want you to get hurt because of a stupid draven who wants your powers." Lindsey said and looked at me.

I looked at her. I wanted to tell her that it would be fine, but I couldn't lie to my best friend. "I don't know Lindsey. I don't know if they'll attack me but I do know that no matter what happens you don't have to worry about me. Ok?" I said. She nodded and stood up. "I have to get home before I get in trouble with my parents." She said and walked away.

I felt bad. I had no idea what it was like to know that your best friend was in danger but I knew that it wasn't a good feeling. I shook off those thoughts and walked around the forest.

Same pond, same trees, same patch of flowers, same crystal in the middle of it all. Wait a second. Why is there a crystal in the middle of it all? There's no crystals in the forest. I walked over and sat beside it. Who decided to put a random crystal in the middle of the forest?

I raised my hand to touch it when all of a sudden I heard a voice yell "No!" and saw Fara walking quickly over to me. She waved her hand and the crystal disappeared. "That was a draven trap. They use them to steal Elementals powers." She explained and helped me stand up. It's a good thing she came, or my powers would be gone for good.

I brushed the dirt of my jeans and sighed. "Thank you Fara. Now I see why your one of the Protectors." I said and laughed although I was still a bit shaky. "You should get home Haily. I saw Violet and Vanessa so I know they gave you the message. You'll find that the dravens will try to stop you from finding the other two. This is because when you are together you can create Magiray (mag-ee-ray) which is a spell only the Elementals can perform when together. It's strong enough to wipe out all of the dravens, even Thunderlord himself." I was about to ask her who Thunderlord was but she disappeared into thin air. I was getting really tired of people doing that.

I walked home and sat on the couch. I looked at my phone and saw that I missed a call from an unknown number. Who's this? I thought to myself, was it Violet or Vanessa? I sighed and set my phone down. I was really starting to hate not knowing anything.

I stood up and walked to a big, open area in my backyard. I might as well use the time that my fathers gone to my advantage. I summoned a ball of fire and made it take form of numerous animals. They ran around my backyard with each other and then disappeared.

I summoned another ball of fire and shot it up into the sky, where it exploded like a firework. I began to walk around the yard and found myself walking into the garden. I sat down on the small wooden bench that overlooked the beautiful flowers.

I looked at each one. Each unique flower had its own special patter. My little sister always thought of them as little fairy houses that were painted to match the fairies personality. As soon as I thought of that memory she walked walked into the garden. "Hi sissy! Daddy called and said to tell you that he was going to be home late. Whatcha doin?" She asked in her little baby voice that we all adored and she sat beside me. "Just looking at all the fairy houses. Look," I said and pointed to a small flower that was beginning to bloom, "a new fairy must be moving in." She ran over to the flower and giggled. "She must be a very special fairy. She has lots of colors on her house." She said and ran back to sit by me.

"Sissy?" She asked and I replied,"yes Gaby?". "Do you really believe in fairies? And magic? And mermaids? And all the things we always talk about?" She asked me and began playing with my hair. "Yes Gaby, I do. And..." I began to say but then stopped. Could I trust my 5 year old sister with my most important secret? Of course I could, she's my sister, after all. "And I can show you just how real it really is." She looked up at me in amazement. "You met a fairy?" She asked, her eyes filled with wonder. I laughed "not exactly. But I do happen to know someone with magic powers, just like the fairies I read to you about." I said and held out my hand, allowing a small orb of fire to escape. She gasped, "you have magic sissy?" She asked and I nodded my head. She smiled her widest smile, "show me more sissy! Show me more!".
