We drove away and I desperately tried to catch another glance at the mysterious girl. "My father is waiting, don't be late?" Could it be Roxie? I mean, I was going to see her father so he was probably waiting, but I don't think Roxie would've done that. She couldn't risk being caught. So who was it?
That same question continued running through my mind until we arrived at the White House. I stepped out of the limousine and look up at the White House. Even this being my second time here, the house still manages to amaze me. Lindsey stepped out after me, followed my Gaby and Ally. Me and Lindsey walked up the steps and are greeted by the President.
"Hello Miss Lockner and Miss Rosatelli! It's great to have you here!" He said in a warm, greeting voice. "It's great to be here Mr. President. I was wondering if we would be able to meet Roxie?" Lindsey asked and smiled. He nodded before saying, "Of course! She's right behind the door. Just walk in and say tell her I'll be there in a minute." He said and gestured to the grand door. We walked inside and saw Roxie sitting on a couch texting on her phone.
We walked over and Lindsey did the talking for me. "Hi Roxie, I'm Lindsey and this is Haily." She said and gestured to me. Roxie glanced up then seemed to come back from a daydream. "Oh, hey you two! I'm Roxie, though you already knew that." She responded and laughed. "Your here for the dinner, right?" We nodded and she laughed. "That's great! Did you need anything?" She asked and slid her phone into her purse. Once again, Lindsey did the talking, "We were wondering if you could show us the garden? We've heard amazing things about the flowers." Roxie nodded and stood up. "It's just over here." She said and walked over to a glass door leading to the garden.
She opened the door and we all stepped outside. She gave us a little tour of the garden and we ended the tour in a huge gazebo. This is it. I'm going to ask her. If Violet was wrong about this, she's going to regret it. "Um, Roxie? Do you mind if I ask you something?" I asked. A wave of nervousness covered her face, by then disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared and she nodded. "Well.. you see.. I-" but Lindsey cut me off saying "We were wondering if you were the Earth Elemental?" She asked very quickly, but not so fast that Roxie couldn't understand her.
Roxie suddenly looked very nervous and scared, and started backing away. "I was warned about you dravens, stay away from me or there will be serious trouble." She said, taking a few steps back. Me and Lindsey looked at eachother and laughed. "We aren't Dravens! I'm the Fire Elemental and this is my best friend Lindsey." I told her. She seemed to relax a bit, but was not fully convinced. "Then prove it." She said and stopped backing away.
I looked at Lindsey and she nodded. I looked both ways before raising my hand and summoning a ball of fire, then releasing it into the wind. Roxie relaxed and smiled. "Good. So, what do you need?" She asked and walked back to her original spot. "Fara sent us to find you. I have to find all of the Elementals so we can stop the Dravens." I replied.
"How can I help?"
