Chapter 8 : The new Couples on the block

"Oh babe ! You know all the right things to say to me . I can't  believe you could make me so happy Phoenix ! I love you ! I really do ! I promise to take care of you and always stand by your side and never let you down your my one and only from now onwards " You know Phoenix felt very special when Zack say she's his one and only , as if Chad had never been there to ruin the concept of whether she could be loved or ever would be loved . Zack eliminated the thought that all boys were the same to Phoenix and she slowly started to trust in her boyfriend again . The thoughts of Darrin started to slip away slowly . The fact that made them be there was the fact that Sia kept on accusing her of being the other girl in the relationship and Vicky was not speaking to her because of Terrence , those were the only things reminding of the boy who once looked like a prince from a distance that is now looking like a normal nigga-wanna be of Oriental High School . "I wonder  what I saw in him" Phoenix thought out loudly to herself while looking at Darrin sitting alone waiting for his group on the grade 9 stair way . She didn't even notice that Darrin heard what she had said . "You saw passion and a connection between the both of us but you lost that when you started going out with the biggest liar and cheat in Oriental "  sadly Darrin wished he would have said that but really he thought it . Yes it was no joke Zack was the biggest liar in Oriental High history , he dated nearly 7 girls that were in the same grade and almost all the girls at their Branch back in church . Phoenix was yet to find out what she was getting herself into but who can judge when it's young love ...

"Okay class !today we will be learn about the ry-bo-som in the animal cell and if we complete this chapter early we can uh move on to the structure of the ry-bo-som !" Mr Flook said , mr Flook was the new life sciences teacher for the grade 10's and was "highly qualified" in what he was doing but his English was a bit off-ish so learners would make fun of him
"Uhm sir ! Isn't it ribosome ? " Phoenix hesitantly tried to correct him . You see Phoenix had the most well rounded english which she learnt from birth so it was very difficult to debate with her about english
"Ooh ms Suburbs you have sum-ting to say huh ? I don't know what the teachers in the suburbs were teaching you but here now , we don't correct one another we just write what we are told !" Mr Flook said right at Phoenix's face ."yes sir ! "  after that Phoenix couldn't wait to get out of class it being third last period of the day after life sciences came before English . Fortunately for her , the teacher was absent so she spent some time reading a book and memorising her time table for her March exams , she wasn't all that excited about the Exams but whoever is excited when it comes to tests . Phoenix was reading the book "stone heart that breaks " and was interrupted when she heard a familiar voice calling out in a hushed tone "hey love , how is your day today ?" 
"It was  fine Romeo , I met this awesome dude in grade 12A before my day was ruined by mr Flook and his attempts at actually speaking English and not gibberish in class ! " said Phoenix. See no one knew of Zack and Phoenix's arrangements , their relationship was completely open , thus , Phoenix knew everything (at least that's what she told herself) . "So babe what are your plans for this weekend ? " he said ."besides watching telenovelas with ouma and studying , nothing , why ? " she said . Zack looked calm and not as nervous like before they started dating ."I want you to come to my house and hang out !"
"And do what there exactly ? I'm a virgin ! If that's what you were looking for ! Zack I .... " Zack hushed Phoenix so that he could have that glimpse to explain himself "baby ! It's still the same Zack ! I want to introduce you to my sister Alice ! That's all ! Nothing to worry about , I know you're not there yet so ... I'll wait ! "This was a shock to Phoenix well simply because no guy in her entire love life would even dream of telling her that ,she felt her heart melt at the sweet calmness of her partner was with in her too ! " baby are you serious? You want me to meet your sister ? ... I thought you said you don't introduce any of your girlfriends to your family , why me though ? " Zack had won Phoenix's heart with this action he had persuaded himself to take action on , "baby I want you to be my one and only ! I'm tired of the game I want out ! I love you Peanut ! I wanna be with you , I give you my heart and soul ! I'm all yours , I promise you ! There are no others "  . Phoenix did not seem to be happy at this , fore she had accepted the "grade 12's request of being her beneficial friend and Phoenix has never been in a serious relationship ! Well merely because according to her church's standards she was left with only 5 months before she could officially date the way she wanted to , she felt so cornered in her own world , the world she had always dreamt of that she thought could never be true . Zack certainly knew it wasn't but Phoenix was blinded by his words ... so Phoenix on that Saturday had  a date with not Darrin because most people assumed the grade 12 was him but Allen , a harmless nerd who really took interest in her but she only agreed for the extra lessons and her own twisted reasons . So there she was , caught ! In what somehow appeared to be a love triangle and she being caught in the middle .

"My dear Phoenix go out with me this Saturday ,I'm sure to make your day very pleasant ! I need you to meet my friends and my brother ! Please don't say no ! I need to be with you ! Meet me at the mall at 12h00 at Exclusove book shop , I heard you loved reading ...
