Rescue Mission

Setting: Carter's 20th Birthmas; SHIELD HQ;,director Fury's office...

"Are you absolutely sure about this?" Fury asks glaring at Tony

"The kid's been hanging around her for the past three years," Tony says, "and most of us know her for the most part."

"Why didn't he contact Rogers instead of showing up at the tower though?" Coulson asks

"Cause he still doesn't know about her yet," Romanov says

"And why would he believe the kid's words over her or seeing her?" Hill adds

"Look," Tony says, "I'd love to help out, but I just made things right with my kids and screwed it up again; so if you excuse me, I have to go clean up my mess again, so good luck with the rescue mission on Christmas Day thing."

I went directly to Mr. Stark after spending the night waiting at Carter's for the off chance that she came back; Mr. Stark brought me to SHIELD HQ and director Fury blew his fuss and called in everyone that knew her as Carter. I'd look for her on my own, but I don't even know where to being. She really only has one other friend besides me, but Bridget lives twenty-three minutes away in N.YC. Carter would've taken a cab there. But her purse and wallet are still at the apartment, so she must've gone somewhere within walking distance. So then where would she have gone...

"Get Captain Rogers in my office now," Fury snaps

"Sir?" Hill asks

"This has gone on long enough," Fury says

"I get him," Coulson says before leaving

"We've been patient with her for the past seven years for her to tell him," he says, "and now it's been long enough. It's time he knows the truth."

"We've got a hit on her energy signal sir," Hill says

"Get me the address," he says

"Right away sir,"she says

"Should I call in the others director?" Romanov asks

"Not yet; lets see what we're dealing with first," he says

"What should I do?" I ask

"..." he and the two women just stare at me for a moment

"Go home kid," Fury says, "this is bigger than you know."

"All do respect sir, but I'm not going anywheres," I say, "she's my girlfriend and I'm not going anywhere until she's safe."

"You might wanna refrain from using the 'gf' term when Cap gets here," Romanov says

"She has a point," Hill adds, "he's already not like to have a pleasant reaction to finding out about her, he'd probably lose it completely if he found out she already is dating someone."

"Like I said kid," Fury says, "go home."

I open my mouth to speak again, but the door opens at that moment and in walks Coulson with Cap-he looks confused-everyone is silent as Coulson closes the door behind them...

"What's going on?"Cap asks slowly as he look at us all, "what's the kid doing here?"

"Long time no see Cap," I say smiling underneath my mask
