Setting: some months later, it's now 2020; Carter is now 20 years old...

"Good morning Ms. America," Parker says from next to me on the couch where we fell asleep watching a late night movie that was on tv

"Morning Bug," I say with a yawn as I sit up and rub my eyes

"These cookies are the best," he says as he eats

"..." I stare at him and the cookies for a second, " oh that just grows."

"What?" He asks confused

"Those are from My 20th Birthmas Petey; that was two months ago," I say, "those should be gone already."

"But they're just so good," he says, "I couldn't help but save them."

"You're such a dork," I say laughing

"Yea, and you're flat out weird," he says taking a sip of coffee from his Spidy mug, "I mean Birthmas?" He bursts out laughing

"Jerk," I say laughing, "doors open!" I shout to the knocker

"Cap," Peter says quickly getting up from the couch in shock

"..." I roll my eyes he never told my old man that we're dating, cause he really wants his approval

"Am I interrupting something?" My old man says with a stern face and one eyebrow arched

"We just fell asleep watching a TV movie daddy," I say, "that's all, I promise you nothing else happened."

"..." he turns his stare to me

"..." I give him a warm smile-I've got him wrapped around my finger already

"Fine," he says breaking his stare into a smile

"So what brings ya up to my place anyway?" I ask

"Hey Carter, I'm gonna take off," Peter says, "I gotta get to the Daily Bugle."

"Okay," I call back as he goes out the window and is off

"..." the old man looks at me with a serious face and arched brow again

"What?" I ask confused

"Lets go to the gym," he says

"But it's 7am," I whine

"Perfect time for a jog," he says, "come on."

"But I'm still sore from yesterday's morning jog," I pout

"No back talk soldier," he Says

"..." now it's my turn to make the serious face and arch a brow, "I'm not a soldier..."

"Come on Carter," he says, "I wanna get to know my little girl; is that a crime?"

"Ugh," I whine, "it is at seven in the morning," I say as I get up, "fine, let me change my clothes."

After changing from the close I had on the night before and into sweat pants, sweatshirt and sports bra, I grab my current burner phone, wallet and apartment key. I leave Petey a note just in case he drops by again while I'm gone, tape it to the window where he usually come in, turn out all the lights and we head for the gym. We jog for about thirty minutes before stringing up two punching bags and seeing who can either knock there's down or knock the sand out first-it was a tie-he knocked the sand out of his and at the same time, mine went flying into the wall. We've turned everything that we do in the gym into a competition to see who can best the other, and we always tie. I don't really mind though-being neck in neck with my old man-it isn't till after we call it quits at the gym and go out for lunch that we actually talk and get to know each other...
