1-RoadTrip!

Chapter 1

"I can't believe this is actually happening! I can't believe we're actually doing this!" TJ squealed, brown eyes twinkling with excitement.

"You need to chill" her best friend, Jessica said "and stop squealing you sound like a freakin hamster!"

"Hahaha whatever dude, I just can't help it," TJ laughed. "I'm just soo excited ahh!" She threw herself backward on Jessica's messy bed. "Just picture it, you and me and that open road, living the life, creating memories,this is what we dreamed of since sophomore year!"

Jessica threw more clothes in her duffel bag, biting back a smile. "Yeah, you're right, this is it. It's finally happening. I can't believe your mom is even letting you take this road trip!"

"Yeah, I know" TJ agreed in disbelief. "Maybe she realized that there's not much she can do to stop me from doing this. I mean, we graduated from that fucking school and just in 2 short months, we're gonna be college students." She sat up and absent-mindedly began to look through Jessica's clothes. "I'm even more surprised that your parents are letting you do this, Jessica. I mean they barely let you out of the house."

Jessica walked across the room into her bathroom to pack her toothbrush. "I know, but remember, my dad said that as soon as I turn 18, I can do whatever the hell I want."

Jessica walked back into her room and glanced up at TJ admiring herself in Jessica's hot pink bikini. "Wow, that looks really good on you. You can borrow it if you want." She offered.

"It does look good, but my boobs are like ten times bigger than yours, so maybe not.." TJ sighed,throwing the bathing suit to the side.

Jessica chuckled as she stuffed last minute items in her bag and zipped it closed. "Let's go say bye to your parents" she suggested.

"Yeah okay," TJ agreed. "But we gotta make it quick because ain't nobody got time for your mothers' tears!" She joked.

"For real though! Oh and we gotta swing by The theatre so I can say goodbye to Ryan." Jessica hastily added.

"Oohh Ryan how can we forget about precious Ryan?" TJ said, pretending to swoon.

"Shutup! I promised him I would come by before we get on the highway okay!" Jessica defensively said.

"Alright, alright" TJ sputtered, laughing hysterically as Jessica hurled wadded up tshirts at her. "Let's go say adios a tus padres."

Jessica shook her head in disgust, "Your Spanglish gets worse and worse the longer I know you."

"Muchas gracias" TJ smugly said.

"Hey, be careful with our stuff! You can't just throw it around, ya know" Jessica exclaimed, arms crossed over her chest.

"Yeah okay whatever." Jorge, Jessica's twin brother laughed, walking over to her to say goodbye. "Well bye for now sissy, don't die on us." Jorge joked, attempting to steal a hug,but Jessica nimbly sidestepped out of his open arms.

Immediately after Jessica's mom reluctantly released her, her dad gathered her into a big, bear hug.

"I love you princesa, call me if you need anything, be safe, don't forget your pepperspray and don't forget to stay in touch. Don't seperate from each other. Jessica, TJ have fun but not too much." He warned the two girls before kissing his daughter's forehead. Jessica and TJ waved goodbye before climbing into TJ's neon green Jeep Wrangler and driving off.

"Guess who" Jessica cooed in Ryan's ear, her hands covering his eyes.

"Uhh, Ariana Grande?" Ryan guessed.

"Wow, of all people..." Jessica grumbled. "You know how much I dislike her!"

"Hahaha baby you know I was joking, I know it couldn't be anyone other than my beautiful, amazingly perfect girlfriend." Ryan grinned.

"Yeah that's what I thought. Try starting off with that answer first, mkay Ry Baby?"

"Anything for you Jess Baby." Ryan said sweetly, blue eyes bright with adoration. "So are y'all ready to go?" He asked,noticing TJ's jeep outside.

"Yeah, I just wanted to swing by and say goodbye." Jessica said. "I'm really gonna miss you Ry." She whispered, sadness evident in her words.

"I know baby, I'm gonna miss you too. But don't think of this as a goodbye, okay?" He tilted her chin so her dark brown eyes meet his sparkling blue ones. "Think of this as a...see you later." Wrapping his sure, strong arms around her, he kissed her hair and whispered "I love you Jess."

Jessica reciprocated his words, "I love you Ry." Deeply inhaling his musky scent, she nuzzled her head into his neck.

Out of no where, a rather obnoxious honking could be heard from just outside the theatre entrance.

"YALL ARE CUTE AND ALL AND I TOTALLY SHIP RESSICA, BUT COULD YALL SPEED THIS UP BECAUSE I REALLY WANNA BURN SOME RUBBER!" TJ screamed, standing completely upright in the jeep, the top pulled down.

Jessica groaned, hid her enflamed face behind her hands, and shook her head despairingly. "I'm ashamed to even be seen in public with her."

Ryan chuckled, gently releasing Jessica's face from behind her hands. "Are you sure you still wanna go on this trip to Cali with TJ?" He joked. "Y'all are gonna be together for at least a week and a half." He reminded her.

"Please don't remind me." She laughed.

"Well go on, get!" Ryan shooed her away, with a playful swat on her butt. She giggled and turned back to face him for one last kiss.

"Mhmm," she hummed. "I'm gonna miss your scruff tickling my cheeks."

"And I'm gonna miss these cheeks." Ryan retaliated with a swift squeeze of her backside.

"HURRY UP! IM NOT GETTING ANY HOTTER!" TJ hollered dramatically from jeep.

Jessica and Ryan simultaneously shook their heads and chuckled at her ridiculous statement.

Chucking, Ryan said, "You better go" and gave one final peck on the cheek and pushed her towards the jeep.

"See you later." Jessica said, smiling at her boyfriend.

"See you." He grinned.

She climbed in next to TJ and buckled her seatbelt.

"Took you long enough!" TJ said, exasperated.

"Oh shut up" Jessica retaliated, rolling her eyes. "It's time to get this show on the road." She pulled out of re parking lot and onto I-20 W.

"FINALLY!" TJ whooped, thrusting her fist into the air. "LETS DO THIS!"
