"Have you fucked him yet?" The voice slurred.
"Excuse me? Who is this?" Jessica asked, taken aback by the person's question.
"You heard me, bitch. Have. You. Fucked. Him. Yet?" The male voice said slowly.
"Ryan? Is that you?" Jessica whispered incredulously into the phone.
TJ turned to look at her curiously. "What's going on?"
Jessica just shook her head. "I'm gonna go outside for a bit. Be right back." Hurriedly, she exited the theatre and walked out the doors into the clear night air.
"Ryan, are you still there? What the hell is wrong with you? Are you fucking drunk?"
"You, you left me Jessie, and you gave Henry Harold Hank Howard whatever the hell that British dick's name is, what was supposed to be mine. What we were supposed to do together." Ryan slurred through the phone.
"What are you talking about, Ryan?" Jessica asked, fed up with Ryan's vague sentences.
"I was supposed to be your first. I deserved it, I mean I went out of my way to help you out and to deal with your emotionally unstable ass and this is how you repay me? By fucking some dude that you met on the side of the road? You fucking slut."
Jessica detached the phone from her ear and stared at it in horror, her blood running cold. Slowly, she put the phone back to her ear and said quietly, "what the hell did you just say to me?"
"You heard me. You're. A. Fucking. Slut." Ryan hiccuped over the phone. "What did I ever do to make you treat me so terribly? I'm a nice guy Jessie, and I'm pretty fucking attractive too."
"Ryan, please just calm down, okay? I haven't done anything at all! Why can't you just trust-"
"Girls have been throwing themselves at me since the day you up and left me to go on your little adventure. And I've been turning them away because I wanted to be faithful to you Jessie, but you know what? Enough is enough. If you wanna cheat, why can't I?" Ryan interrupted Jessica, continuing on with his drunken speech. "I've found someone who can gimme what I want, what I've been yearning for since I got with you. And she's been giving it to me every morning, noon, and night. She's at my fucking beck and call. Do you hear me, Jessie? I found someone who's willing to give up what you won't."
Jessica's cell phone almost slipped through her numbs fingers as she listened to Ryan in utter shock. The color drained from her face. Those words, those very words were what Jessica dreaded to here, ever since Michael.
"You promised me." Jessica whispered, her voice cracking. "You promised that you would never do that to me. And I believed you. I'm such a fucking idiot. No, I take that back. You're the fucking idiot. You're worse than Michael ever was." Jessica said coldly, her blood boiling.
"Don't you ever compare me to that piece of shit, you bitch. Don't forget who saved you from him in the first place." Ryan yelled belligerently.
Jessica's grip on her phone tightened, her knuckles turning white. All she could see was red, she was so furious. She closed her eyes and forced herself to take deep, calming breathes, attempting to slow her erratic heart beat.
As the silence stretched out, Ryan let out a slow, shuddering breath. "Babe, I'm-I don't even know what I'm saying."
Jessica let out a bitter laugh. "No, I think you know exactly what you're saying Ryan."
"No I don't Jessie please, just hear me out." Ryan begged. "Damnit Jessica, I didn't mean any of it, not one fucking word. I love you! Do you hear me? I. Love. YOU."
"Strong words considering everything you just said not even a minute ago." Jessica retorted.
"I do! And I trust you too! I trust you more than anything. I know nothing's happened between you and that dick, I've just had too many drinks and I let my insecurities get the best of me and I miss you. Baby I miss you so so much." Ryan said desperately.
"First off, do not call Harry that. He's ten, hell, he's twenty times the man you'll ever be! And second, I don't have time to nurse your fucking ego because you can't get your own insecurities in check." Jessica spat.
"I'm sorry." Ryan mumbled pathetically. "I didn't mean an of it, it was just the alcohol talking for me."
"Yeah sure, blame it on the fucking alcohol." Jessica said disgustedly.
"I'm sorry." Ryan said again. "I called because i wanted to speak to my amazing girlfriend, but i don't know what came over me. Those were the last things i wanted to say to you. I didn't even wanna talk, I just wanted to listen to you. I just needed to here my Jessie's voice again."
Jessica was silent a moment before a small smile crept onto her lips. "You know I hate when you call me that."
"You know I love to call you that." Ryan laughed.
"Do me a favor, yeah?" Jessica asked him.
"Anything for my Jessie." Ryan quickly answered.
"If you're mad at me because we haven't been talking as much as we should, don't go to the nearest bar an drown your sorrows. Just pick up the damn phone and call me instead." Jessica said quietly.
" I will, next time I will, I promise. It's just that, these past few days have been so hard without you." Ryan explained.
"I know Ry, and I'm sorry, but they've been pretty hard for me too. I get it, I'm thousands of miles away and I'm traveling with two guys you don't know, so of course you go out and relief some stress. But I'm always here for you, and I miss talking to you and I miss you more and more each and every day, and I just want this to work, I want us to-"
"Ryan baby, I can't wait any longer, let's finish what we started, hmm?" A girlish voice complained in the background.
