Chapter 42
Its been 9 months since Eric died. 9 months since me and Ross have been together. 9 months that Eric's baby has been inside Sarah. And at this very moment, we were at the hospital, while Sarah gave birth. The whole family was waiting. Mark, Stormie, Ross, Ryland, Riker, Rocky, Rydel, and I were sitting down, patiently, waiting for news. But the minute the doctor came out, we all stood up. "Doctor, how's the baby?" Rydel asks. He smiles. "The baby is fine. It is a lovely, baby girl." We all smile and cheer. "Can we see the her?" I ask. "Of course, right this way." He leads us to Sarah's room, where she lays there, holding the baby girl. "She's beautiful." I say. "Whats her name?" Ross asks. "Her name is Jilene." We all smile. Jilene. She was beautiful. She has a little blonde curl on her head, and has Sarah's blue eyes. "Your going to make a great mother Sarah." I say. Sarah smiles at me. "Thank you. So much. For everything. I dont know where i would be right now, without your support." She stops and cries. "Dont cry." I say. "Valerie. Ross." She starts. "Yes?" Ross asks. "I would love, if you two would be the godparents. Please." We both smile. "It would be an honor." He says.
Two weeks later, I was at the Lynch's house, taking care of Jilene. Her baptism was last week, and i was officially her godmother. I walk around the house, carrying her in my arms. She was fast asleep. "HEY WE'RE BACK!" Riker yells, coming from the front door. "Shhhh! She's sleeping!" I whisper. The guys just came back from a hockey game. "Sorry!" Rocky whispers. They giggle. "How is she?" Ross asks, while approaching me. "She's an angel." I say. He looks at her. "Awwh." i smile and give him a quick kiss. "Lunch is in the kitchen." I whisper. "Can someone go tell Sarah to come eat? She's up in her room. She hasnt ate anything yet." I ask. Rocky gets up. "Ill go." He races upstairs. Five minutes later he comes back down. "She locked herself inside her room." He says. "What?" I say. "Cmon, lets get that door open." Riker, Rocky, Ross, and Ryland go upstairs. I just sit on the couch,
taking care of Jilene. I wonder whats going on up there. 8 minutes later, i hear a gun shot.
