I woke up to see smoke rising from the ground, and all around me, flames were starting to die. They destroyed the bureau. I got up, and felt my leg in pain. I was bleeding from the wound in it, but I kept walking forward slowly. I was limping, but I was still walking. I saw the bodies of the assassins on the ground, all of them dead. I saw two of them backed into a corner, as they were hand in hand in their death. I looked away, as I started to get uncomfortable at the sight. I heard rubble moving, and there was an assassin with some life left in them.

I moved the rubble off, and helped the guy up. His leg was broken... and his other leg was missing. I covered my mouth, and the assassin fell limp. The bloodshed here was too massive. I went inside to see the damage in there. The animi were destroyed, the entire place was bashed up, and ready to collapse. I saw Derrek in the back of the practice arena. I ran over to him, and saw he was still alive slightly. He was dripping blood from the mouth, and he looked at me with a pained expression. "Where were you... when all this happened?"

"Derrek. God, what did they do?" I asked him, with tears being held back.

"They destroyed the place, the assassins, and the order... You could've stopped this. You're the bladelpathic one... This is your fault..." Derrek's head fell to the side. I closed his eyes. He was a jackass, but he was an assassin, and he deserved mercy. I got up, and ran to A's room. She wasn't in there, and I looked all around for her. I didn't see her in the forest, where I last saw her. I looked all around, but found no sign of her. I heard her crying silently in the armory. I ran over, and saw that she was crushed under debris, but she was still alive, but barely. She saw me, and I saw the blood, scars, and tears on her face. I tried to move the debris off, but I couldn't lift it. It was too heavy for me.

She grabbed my wrist with what enrgy she had left. she put a key in my hand, and looked at me. "Kayla..." she told me, and I kissed her head. I kept trying to remove the rubble, but it was all for nothing. I felt her pulse die, and I closed her eyes. I punched the debris, and it hurt my hand. I looked at the key, and looked around. I saw a vault door labeled "K.A." I thought it was A's, and I tried to unlock it. It opened, and I saw what was inside. There was a box in there, and it was addressed to me. I opened it, and saw what was inside. I took off my traditional white robes off, and looked at the occupants of the box.

I put on an ash black robe. It had the assassin hood, but it was open like a jacket in the front, I put a new belt on over my shoulder that connected to the other, and my waist. I put on a strap with the Assassin symbol around my arm. My hidden blades were damaged, and I looked inside. I saw two blades inside, one had a snake as the symbol, the other had an eagle with its wings spread out. I put them on over my robe sleeves, and kept looking. I pulled out a silenced pistol, and placed it in the holster it came with, and attatched it to my belt. I put on the gloves that were inside as well, and I took out the two handles inside. They ejected the blades hidden inside both of them, and they became dual katanas. I sheathed them both, and saw one more thing in the box. A necklace. I put the necklace around my neck, and hid it in my shirt. I puled up my hood, and walked out of the vault.

The bureau was destroyed, and I had no home. For all I knew, I truly was the last assassin. I walked out of the apartment it was disguised as, and onto the streets of New York. Almost no one was out at the time, which was a good thing for me. I walked into an alley, and sat against the wall. Everyone I met at the bureau was dead. My brother and sister were dead. I silently cried, and I never felt more helpless in my life. I fell asleep against that wall, and woke up in the middle of noon. I stood up, and brushed myself up, I looked up, and climbed up to the rooftops. I kept climbing until I was on top of a gargoyle, and looked around the area I was. Brooklyn, New York.

I looked down, and saw a dumpster below. I jumped, and landed inside it. When I got out of it, I brushed off any trash on me off. I hid all the weapons I had on me, except for my hidden blades, under my jacket-robe. I walked through the crowd, and felt someone following me. I looked back, and used a technique they taught me at the bureau. The technique let you use all senses at once, to make one super sense: Eagle vision. I saw several templars nearby my location, and one was right behind me. I saw him pull out a knife to try and kill me, but I got behind him, and stabbed him with my hidden blade. I walked away before he fell down, and people started to freak out that the man dropped dear in front of them. I saw the other Templars notice, and I started walking faster. They all started following me, and I walked thorugh crowds until I got to a street carnival that was going on. The Templars gathered around and walked through. I killed one of them from right behind them all, and they turned to stare at me, I pulled out my two retracted katanas, and shot the blades out. The Templars ganged up on me, and I wasn't prepared for that. I was still able to block their attacks, and I heard a voice in my head again. 'With the next block, use both swords to disarm each Templar.' I blocked each strike with one katana, and used the other  to sandwich their swords between mine.

I spun them, and threw their swords to the side. I slashed them all across the chest, with one fluent motion of my left katana. I retracted my swords, and saw police gathering around. They were all aiming their guns at me. A woman got a megaphone out, and shouted at me, "You are surrounded! Surrender your weapons, put your arms up, and do not attempt to resist arrest!" I looked at a pouch that one of the Templars had, and picked it up. It was full of smoke pellets. "I ordered you to surrender your weapons and put your hands up!" I looked at the woman, and pulled out a pellet. I threw it down, and the smoke surrounded me. I ran to the building to my left, and started climbing.

The smoke didn't do much, so they were almost immediatly shooting at me. I kept climbing, and eventually, their bullets couldn't reach me. I got to the top, and ran across the rooftops. I stopped after a few minutes of running. Not only was I wanted by Templars, but now I was wanted by cops. Nothing could make my day worse.. I decided to rest on the rooftop I was on, and sat down. I caught my breath, and thought of the previous day. Derrek was dead in the practice arena, and A, or Kayla, was dead in the vault. I put my head in my hands, and sighed. A few hours later, I got off the rooftops, and saw my face was plastered on wanted posters around the city. I start pulling them off the walls, and found a way to take my face off the tron on one of the buildings. I knew I would need money to bribe my way out of all this. I looked, and saw I had almost nothing. It was going to be a long week, and this was only the begining of my life.
